This is actually pretty cool. I rarely see any european history east of italy, so its nice to be able to get that perspective. More history that americans wouldn't normally know about is greatly appreciated. Is there any way to find out what is written on the 3rd image? Normally I would just google it but you really can't copy and paste text off an image like that.

The14th

What uniform are they wearing (the dragoons)?

Thanks. Using google translation: "Finding themselves without formal leaders, the mirza(s) began to redistribute the pastures, and they did not need to convene congresses, and took them from each other solely with the help of military force. In the steppes began a series of mutual raids, murders and ruins. The Russian government and local authorities on the Volga maliciously watched this total mutual extermination and sought to inflate mirzas hatred for each other. ..... To stoke feuds, streltsy units were sent to warring camps, ostensibly in order to help them against their enemies. Each group, thinking that the sympathy of the tsar's governors was on its side, fought battles with redoubled energy. However, the streltsy did not intervene in these battles, having received orders only to demonstrate the appearance of a military presence .... The ultimate goal of the plan was the maximum weakening of the nomads and their final conversion, exhausted, into subjects of the tsar."

I can't read Russian. Could you describe this historical event and these historical figures in English?

I replied in the comment above.

This is really cool, both for the fan service but also just to see the designs

The Silver Socialist

I get it now. You're using their faux military presence as a premise for voyeurism. Very clever.
