I expanded on this a little to help develop a feel for Ellis' character. In my mind I also had a bit of a Disney Princess song for him which would have gone a bit like:

My light was dimmed for way too long
When one is special and one is not,
When life is just a game of slots,
Something's got to change
I've got to be that change.
