You knew her before she was a dancer, and each time you met up to chat she seemed less and less cheerful. She used to be so bubbly and excited, but now she’s cold and distant, and she always seems to smell like smoke. You stop by the club on her birthday to give her a small gift, and you’re directed to the alley out back where she’s having a smoke break. She’s given up on her potential she found in education (to which she had some amount of esteem) to be complacent in the grime of her new life.

The doorknob to my room broke and locked me in for like an hour, my landlord literally had to rip the latch out to break me free. It was equal parts suffocating and hilarious - and strangely script inspo?
