Hey Cyberjacks, dreggheads and droidlovers,

hope you're doing well.

I know the last update was a long time ago. Even got called abandoned on some piracy sites.

Work has been going slowly and for the last 1 1/2 years I always felt energyless and burned out. Normal tasks would wear me down fast and more in comparison to other people and the time to "fuel up" took way longer than I was used to.

Wounds took forever to heal and my shins always kept bleeding. Was thirsty without but never felt quenched. Mood was shite a lot of times, unfortunately, which wasn't good for me or my family and friends. Sleeping a lot of times never felt refreshing. This all accumulated of me feeling like slug with depression. The brainfog didn't want to leave for days. I thought I was burned out because being a solo dev is occupying a row of jobs, being the writer, the marketer, the 3D-guy, the audio guy, the social media guy, the coder.

But as it turned out, I just got diagnosed with Diabetes Type 2.

And to prove that I show you the participation paper for a Disease management program. At this point it's not really clear to me what that entails but I'm sure my health insurance will send some info about that soon. There will be a lot of things that need to change for me. Diabetes Type 2 isn't a death sentence or anything, yet it requires some life changes to avoid the serious dangers that come with the illness like slowly loosing eyesight or fouling limbs.

First my diet needs to change and the doc said, "no white sugars" and that suuuuuucks. No pasta, no pizza, no rice, no cereal, no potato chips, no cake or similar, no pretzels, no bread rolls, no chocolate(dark one is OK) some fruits got kicked out. Everything that's delicious. Dammit. Got to be way more conscious about my nutrition from now on and probably have to start a fitness routine to improve overall health.

And oh, almost forgot ... the side effects of metformin. Let's just say I run a lot more to the bathroom than before.

Besides that it's a relief to finally know what's wrong with my health and how to react to it and make the necessary changes. Will take some time to get used to but it's not the end of the world.

With that said, as soon as the symptoms get better and health starts to improve again, the work on the next update will continue in a normal pace again. And speaking of which, you all read about Steam demanding that updates for nsfw games have to be made as a DLC.

On the other hand I had seen nsfw devs updating their games without any problem. Looks like Steam isn't enforcing that rule very strict or if there's some misinformation regarding DLC or not is out there.

I really hope the update goes through easily because right now, I really don't want to figure out how to code a DLC with an outdated renpy version(And it also would take Steam to review it which in turn takes 2-3 weeks)

Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that.

That's it from me today.

Have a nice day
