You are exhausted, resigned, and consumed by fear. You already know your fate: you will surely end up burned to a crisp, incinerated by a beast you never saw coming. You have given your all to die bravely, but reality has overcome you.

Your breathing is heavy and ragged, but you try to remain silent as the creature hunts for you relentlessly. You are the sole survivor; though the dragon has laid waste to everything, its instinct will not let it leave until you are found. But you notice something strange. It isn't hunting you to burn you; it's looking for a meal. How is it possible that you will end up devoured by such a creature?

It is inevitable; it’s drawing closer. It is weary, for it does not beat its wings, but merely tramples everything in its path. Perhaps if you hide better, it won't find you. You feel like a rat, but that doesn't matter now. The only thing that matters is survival.

Its roar is piercing. It is playing with you, for it already knows where you are; it simply wants you to run so it can hunt you down like the prey you are.

It is looming over you. Are you not going to run? No, you won't. Part of you wants to, but another part of your being screams at you to stay, that fleeing is no longer worth the effort. With one of its claws, it grips you so tightly that you cannot move, and you can barely draw breath. It carries you toward its maw. The creature is massive.

You are inside it now, feeling its teeth tear into you bit by bit. Your muscles no longer respond.

You are passing through its throat. Everything is damp and dark. You can’t see a thing. Have you gone blind?
1:14
The muscles squeeze you so hard that you cannot breathe. Your survival instinct compels you to take a gasp of air, but it is impossible; your body will not obey. You are now entirely at the dragon's mercy.

You fall into a sort of damp cavern. You can breathe again, as the walls of the throat no longer constrict you. Everything remains dark. You feel a profound sense of peace despite the tragedy of your situation. Within the walls, the creature's breathing echoes, and you can hear its heartbeat as if it were your own. You cannot move, but you feel something moving you. Where are you going?

Everything feels smaller now, like being inside a pipe. Nothing squeezes you as it did at the start of your journey, but you continue to move, propelled by the walls. The movement is slow. A pungent odor fills the air, but your senses are so shattered that you cannot remember what it is. Your entire life flashes before your eyes. You already know the final outcome, and it is neither good nor bad. You resign yourself to your future.

You collapse to the ground and gradually fade away, feeling the creature's wings lift it into the air as your eyes close forever.
