HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

We have gotten 2 different guide recommendations, and if there is another one then vote for that option but we don't know which one to do!! Vote for which one is better!

We will also be doing the documentary next week so stay tuned!

Here’s the thing. The Taylor Mari guide has no voiceover, only text. (I know you guys can read, but it’s hard to pay attention to sometimes). It has way more information about BTS and I consider it a more complete and in-depth guide, but you should take that into consideration. In comparison, the Boracity guide is much shorter, it has narration, and it’s edited more nicely. However, it’s very surface-level knowledge and I see it more as an intro for people who are totally new to international content, which you guys aren’t. It ultimately comes up to preference!

taylor’s is for a more in depth introduction that also explains their background. boracity is an updated version that also describes their music styles. this one also breaks down the k-pop world simply and tackles a lot of assumptions. both is perfect for new watchers. both is needed imo

I’m honestly not a fan of the boracity video. Because it barely touches on quite a few members RM, Jimin and Jhope specifically. It’s updated for sure but it’s not an update that shows any full updates about them. I do understand the introduction for people new to kpop. But if they are only doing one guide it has to be the Taylor one 😭😭

of course, i’m sure we all would indefinitely choose taylor’s. however the boracity one is great for newbies to k-pop. it’s not a personality guide, it’s more-so to just give information about their solo projects and interests in the music industry so they’re all briefly described. that’s why them watching both would be nice.

Definitely Taylor’s BTS guide to help answer a lot of your questions during the Netflix comeback concert. It’s updated until 2022, but it’s still a great guide to get to know each member, the group as a whole, and even the fandom. The guide doesn’t have a voiceover, you’ll need to read through the information, so I really hope you can pay close attention, because if you talk over it too much, you might miss a lot. I’d highly suggest pausing whenever you have something to say. 🙂 It'd be great if you could check out the Boracity Guide too, as it focuses more on their individual music styles. It's another great guide, especially since you're still new to BTS. You really have to check out both. Once you do, you’ll appreciate them and the Netflix documentary so much more.

happy weekend, gekss!! we are so excited to have you in the fandom! <3 we are very protective of them, you'll get why that is when you watch the GUIDE and they really are that humble. please ARMY feel free to add more to this, i think i gave a few pointers to begin with. so a few things that we will scream at you, which you have to listen haha 1. pause when you are talking, we take this very seriously haha so, it'll be great if you do that. completely get the excitement of wanting to google them which is obviously easier than watching a guide, but that's what we recommend everyone coming into this family. 2. their lyrics always have a deeper meaning to it, no matter how much of a bop a song is, the lyrics are always raw, so an album reaction with the lyrics on will help you understand them more. 3. we hope that you don't compare them, they have different traits, they are very different people, and we love all of them, and before anyone comes at me i know this is their second vid, they are still learning so i'm just hoping, they come into this with an open mind. 4. please get mods if you don’t want to be bombarded with requests, mods will help you navigate through the plethora of content BTS have.

The Taylor guide is a classic and definitely the more in-depth option, so I think it’s a great pick. That said, the Boracity one is more up to date and gives a bit more context on the k-pop industry, which could also be really helpful starting out. The main thing I wanted to mention though is pacing, especially for music/k-pop content. For reactions and this guide in particular, pausing will help a lot. There’s a lot of info and small details (choreo, lyrics, member moments) that viewers really enjoy seeing you notice and talk about. Of course above all we just wanna see you have fun and vibe, but most people genuinely don’t mind (and even prefer) when you pause, share quick thoughts, then rewind and continue. I know that’s not how you usually react when it comes to your tv reaction content, so totally get if it’s an adjustment or affects editing. Just wanted to throw it out there, and I am excited for this new journey!

For complete information about BTS and its members, someone definitely needs to create a new guide, as the existing guides’ information is current only up to 2022. For now, both of them in the same video reaction would be the best option 🙂✨. Taylor's version lasts about 40 minutes, and Boracity is 20 minutes.

Unrelated, but you guys should watch BTS Carpool Karaoke with James Corden. Its short, sweet and has it all - live vocals, personality, fun QnA and in a western medium you would be familiar with. Guides are great and I recommend you guys to watch them if you want to know the members better, but they are text heavy and a lot of information at once, so I think the James Corden clip can help you get a glimpse of them outside of the stage and develop your own opinions about them before watching the guide. I just checked the comments under the BTS Netflix concert reaction on YouTube 😭 this is what people meant when we warned you about certain parts of the k-pop fandom lol. For what it’s worth, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the questions you were asking. Stuff like “who’s the most popular member” is something literally every fan has wondered at some point. Once you get to know the group more, these questions start to matter less over time. You guys are still new to this, and people need to remember that. It’s the same way you had to find your footing with the anime fandom at first. You learn what works and how to engage with it over time. This will be the same kind of adjustment. Just a tip for when y’all watch the Netflix documentary, please make sure the translations are set to English and NOT English CC. The English subtitles option without CC are the correct/more accurate translations. The CC ones are so bad. It might automatically set it to English CC so just check. You’ll know it’s the CC translations if the subtitles describe sounds (ex. [loud music] or [screaming])
