I personally feel like doing them out of order kind of makes it hard to grasp what each album meant at certain points of their careers. GEKS! Regardless of which album wins, I highly recommend reacting to the albums a similar way you did with ARIRANG — listen through the full thing, but for any tracks that have MVs, watch the music videos instead of just audio. And for the songs without MVs, I’d suggest colour-coded lyric videos over just Spotify audio. With BTS especially, the lyrics are such a huge part of the experience, and colour-coded vids also help you learn who’s singing what. I genuinely think it makes album reactions way more immersive and impactful. Also would love to see the albums done in chronological order in the future, but I know for now the poll decides lol.

If they’re starting with the Map of the Soul album and then going back through everything in chronological order afterward, that works too. It would be nice to follow the content connected to the songs alongside the album — the MV if there is one, the lyrics/translation, and the live performances. Dance practices can always be saved for later or watched in a separate video so things stay enjoyable and not too overwhelming. It would be nice to do the same with the other albums as well since it helps make the experience more immersive and gives a deeper understanding of the songs. For Map of the Soul especially, the interviews connected to the unit songs are really worth watching too. Songs like Friends by Jimin and Taehyung feel more meaningful when they explain the meaning and story behind them.

I think specifically since they have made it clear that this is a K-pop channel and not a bts channel, MOTS might be ideal. It has so many of their big hits and shows off many different sides. One of them you already heard Airplane Pt2 and the Japanese version is the one that has the MV. Even though some of the more well-known songs are on more recent albums, starting from the beginning is always better for understanding the concepts over the years, the evolution, and so on; I believe it's the best approach.

Yes I'm going to echo what everyone else said, color coded lyrics is the best choice for songs that don't have music videos. It's really a full engaging experience. I love seeing who sings which part. It helps you to learn the line distribution of each member. Also, I think it makes the music flow so cohesively.

Yeah you're right; some of the translations are poor but the ones I've seen are pretty decent/good. It really depends on the channel like you said. But yeah that's definitely something to consider when trying to learn and understand the structure and composition of a song. You want it to be 100% accurate. Otherwise, it doesn't help much. I forgot they are fan-made.

hi everyone! since MOTS will likely win I made a youtube playlist with MVs (excluding ones you’ve seen) and color-coded lyrics for all of the songs on the album. hoping the geks can use it for the reaction? I tried to find color-coded videos that best represented BTS’s message for the song but if there’s anything that seems off I can switch out the videos. I found the best possible lyric videos and excluded anything you've already seen (like Boy With Luv MV) but added the full version that has more Halsey if you wanna hear it. Make It Right MV version features Lauv but there's the album version (without MV) that only has BTS singing so I included both. Anything that had an MV is included with an MV. Interlude: Shadow has an MV and a longer version without the MV in case you want to hear the longer one too but you should definitely watch the MV for this. Also there are 2 videos for Louder Than Bombs and Friends that have fanmade videos with lyrics that also give context to the song's meaning. I understand, I think it would be better if the geks organize on which groups to focus on for certain weeks. For example doing a poll to pick a boy group and girl group to do for the week. After our votes, we then suggest whether we want albums, interviews, dances, music videos, etc. I personally thought that since the channel is based on kpop, they will be going into each group’s discography. So I assumed they would listen to bts albums over time (could be over months), same with other groups. There is so much to kpop, they have so much content to see. So maybe in the future they will go a different direction on how they formulate group contents since it’s kinda random now. And it’s been mostly BTS since they’re started with them which makes sense. It’s hard to go into something else 😭
