Hi Geks! Just for some context, The Rise of Bangtan is a fan-made docuseries that follows BTS’s journey from their debut days up until the 2018 Love Yourself era. It was created by an OG ARMY who was a film major. Fun fact: she shared that she started making The Rise of Bangtan because people around her were always asking why she loved BTS so much. And honestly, like a lot of us, she felt that words couldn’t fully explain it. So she decided to create a documentary instead and let BTS’s story speak for itself. The series has 21 chapters (episodes) and is so well-made and emotional. As I mentioned, it only covers their journey up to the Love Yourself era. She originally planned to continue it, but eventually wasn’t able to finish the series, so it ended at Episode 21. Here’s the link to all 21 episodes. The Rise of Bangtan is a series which can't be necessarily watched in one go. So suggestion maybe it can be a once or twice a week thing? Because of the type of content it is. It is a must watch though 🥺 Making decisions between a must hear album and a must see series is tough 😭😭 lol and BTS live is always a must too 🥺. Maybe have us vote between solos, lives and albums. Or solos lives and series just abit more balanced categories pinned against each other cause this is tough 🥺🥺 💜 ... just a few suggestions.

Jin's solos and the BTS album should definitely come first. Honestly, Jin is so underrated. All the other members got reactions to their solo tracks even J-Hope had reactions for 'Chicken Noodle Soup' and 'Ego' but Jin literally hasn't gotten a single reaction for his solos. His songs are masterpieces and deserve some love! And The BTS album needs to happen before ROB, for sure. Plus, don't forget the 'Pied Piper' and 'Dimple' live stages, they're some of our absolute favorites. The second option is just way better right now, it HAS to win. Please think about it y'all! 😭

And guys the ROB has alot of spoilers so once you dive into it it may be better to find balance by reacting to whatever song or album is expectant in the next episode for example if there's songs in the second episode you haven't seen you listen to those first then go on to watch the episode so there's a balance for you guys and you still able to react to the music at the same time. I don't think any of us would mind helping you navigate that part by letting you know which songs to expect before each episode so nothing is spoiled for you. Hope you're able to find a balance between the music. Solo songs. Series/documentaries and other artists soon 💜🥺

J Hope is my bias, and I've been screaming for TROB, but even I'm shocked people are voting for Dimple/Pied Piper, and album, and of course JIN. This poll hurt alot, but at the same time I'd be happy either way. I voted for the 2nd option.

I'm curious how ROB would confuse them? It's literally the members providing clarity on their process, and each episode features a song/songs from a specific era (in order), and you actually get a fuller, deeper understanding of the beginning, starting from even before debut. It also explains more about Kpop's history, and Bangtan's place in it. It's like the opposite of confusing. Maybe you meant a different word?

I'm curious what you don't like about it? It's content directly from BTS about their state of mind while making each album? I guess if I enjoy the music, I enjoy knowing about the people who made it, and their process and mind-set. I'd understand if it was like a narrated interpretation of BTS, but it's literally their words and thoughts while going before, during, and after debut. Or perhaps you just meant it's not interesting for you to see someone react to it. They loved the Kpop in 20 min video, and even though Carter didn't see that video, he's mentioned multiple times about how he wants to learn more about earlier BTS, and how he likes documentaries. I think the best reactions, are the ones where the reactors are watching content that's genuinely interesting to them.

I think they'd want to continue with ROB (like they did with Run BTS 2.0). They watch series in other channels so it shouldn't be too foreign for them. I think they just weren't expecting BTS to have so many serialized shows lol).

I think they should do both. I've seen helpful ARMY guide reactors in what songs to react to before each episode and I think it enrichened the viewing experience for the reactor and enjoyment of the reaction. Listening to a bunch of music, then going back, yeah, they'll definitely forget songs and be right back in the same boat.

I voted for option 2, but I think a lot of people picked up on the Geks mentioning mult times that they like documentaries (and they obviously like serialized content based on their other channel), and Carter especially has mentioned tons of time how much he wants to know what BTS were like before they happened upon them. It's complicated with BTS (and kpop in general), bc it's never been about "just the music". ESPECIALLY with BTS who pretty much have a recorded historical record of their journey. Their "rise" is just as much a thing of interest, as their music for many.

I'm ok with it not shuffling, simply bc it lowers the stakes when people are voting if they know it will be on the following week. And since they put up polls, the fun of surprise has diminished a little bit, and at least having fresh polls retains an element of surprise. Not only that, sometimes the polls aren't even close, and so maybe they figure the loser content may not be particularly popular in general.

Do they know Rise of Bangtan is a series with 21 Chapters and around 30 minutes each? Just the main chapters excluding deleted/bonus content is at least 10.5 hours. I think it should be clarified if they’re reacting to only 1 chapter or it means they’ll react to the entire series (to continue in the following weeks). I personally want them to watch 2022 FESTA dinner, when they first announce they were going to work on solo stuff, when they were preparing for military service and it shows how important BTS was and is for them, its an emotional dinner, you guys can find it on youtube! under BANGTAN TV and for Jin solos i recommend “Don’t say you love me” MV, “The Astronaut MV and “Running Wild” MV, for j-hope solos i would recommend “Killing it girl” MV (for this i personally like the choreography version), “Mona lisa” MV and “Arson” MV, AND i really hope rise of bangtan becomes a daily drop! it has 21 videos and it has a lot of information on bts and also shows a lot of behind the scenes! and for jungkook’s dreamers i also recommend the live clip of the song :)

This is not a difficult decision at all. It would make way more sense to listen to the album BEFORE rise of bangtan. There are spoilers in ROB. I would much rather have the guys watch a docuseries after finding out about the art. The ART IS THE PURPOSE, ROB IS CONTEXT. ALSO ARMY, CAN WE SHOW SOME LOVE FOR JIN. Kezra, we know theyre gonna watch all the solos regardless. Please dont say we're not showing love for Jin. It's not a Jin vs J-hope poll, there is extra content paired with their solors so ppl have different preferences. We know for sure they'll do all solos but not too sure if theyll do the side content with them so I think that's what ppl were basing their votes on. And yes, it would've been ideal if the album came before the RoB ep but its ok because a many of us heard some our fav songs as snippets in side content first and then watched the mv/heard the official song. And Ive been requesting RoB since day 1 but after seeing the Jin comments and album reasoning I did change my vote yesterday but it's too late now so let's just enjoy the content.
