BTS has two songs that get confused. There is "Run BTS "which there is only a dance practice and a live, no music video and then there is just "Run" which there is a music video.

Unfortunately the screen time issue is still a thing even withBTS . Jimin’s screen time is always cut or ignored when it’s his part and it’s always frustrating for jimin and the members because they notice that shit 2 . It got to a point where jk was pointing to the camera man in the arirang concert to film jimin when his part started because he wasn’t doing his one and only job . And u see that in a lot of BTS concerts , shows , and awards shows. This makes me so sad because he’s very hard working and talented but he doesn’t get the same treatment as others as that’s no shade to the other members because of there is one thing I can say about BTS form the 11 years I’ve known and loved them Is that they LOVE each other and they never have greed. But the company need to stop this bullshit with jimin

Prince Vatani (member of Ghost9), when answering the question of whether kpop idols are actually friends or if they are more like coworkers, said that most groups are genuinely friends even if it's just because you end up spending so much time together. But even on the rarer occasions that you just flat out don't get along with someone, you can never just be coworkers because there's too much trauma-bonding involved The whole "one member gets more attention than all the others" is oftentimes an issue with the company and not necessarily the group members themselves. Sometimes a company will see that a certain member is really popular and give them more singing parts, which just makes them more popular and the cycle continues. Die hard fans always take issue with this unfair treatment, but it sometimes happens anyway because of the views of the general public affecting how the company manages the group. It's a really sad situation because most of the time neither the group members nor the fans are happy with it. That's why you might come across videos or fanpages where people break down line distribution in songs. It can be a good clue as to whether the company is playing favorites. But it's not always a perfect clue because there are situations where a member might request less lines for a certain song or agree that a song fits another member better. For example, some ARMY claim that Jin is treated unfairly because he tends to get less lines but BTS themselves have said that the parts just go to whoever fits them best and that if any member has an issue they all work it out together

Yay! The Idol Olympics! That first win was so iconic. It's is such a metaphor for their rise, the commentators pretty much ignored them throughout the race, hyping up all the other cotestants even though they were in second place throughout the race. Until JK went to warp speed. Some of the commentators were visibly upset and couldn't believe what had just happened as they seemingly came out of nowhere. It really pmo. Like you literally have to search for fancams if you want to see Jimin. But those fancams are elite and Lethal. The company has been doing it for years. Even in MVs they give Jimin less face shots. And I love how the other members sees this and been trying to push Jimin to the front more Tae and jk both have. The show where Tao from EXO is yelling is real! Its from a show called Produce 101 (this one was in china) where they bring in 101 trainees from various agencys and make them compete and perform until a final few are chosen and put into a temporary group. Produce 101, however, does have a bad track record of milking content, "evil" editing, and just flat-out lying about scores and rankings. So there is a chance of something being edited or cut out of the show, or the fall being planned to happen, but his anger was very much real.

the 9muses documentary is so interesting. It's following them right before their debut, and i think the first year or two of the group. Girls would just walk out, the way the staff talk about them, how sad all the girls are even the ones that get added to the groups. It's so weird how their management thought creating that movie would've created good buzz about the group, yet it just aired out all their laundry. It's definitely an interesting watch

BTW, BTS also competed in the Korean Traditional Wrestling (Ssireum) at the 2016 “Idol Star Athletics Championships”, with members like Jin, V & Jungkook who actively competed in the Men’s wrestling matches. However, while they did reach the Korean Wrestling Finals against VIXX (A different BG), they ultimately finished with a silver medal rather than a gold medal. Nevertheless, the matches were all really impressive & entertaining to watch, & they still did great, regardless if they didn’t win gold in the end.

Jin and Jimin are the most athletic members in my opinion. They are the sporty boys fr lol. They just don’t show that side to them much in BTS content. A lot of the fandom doesn’t even know how athletic Jin is tbh gotta deep dive to know Jin just goofs off alot. Jimin just there for the fun lol. But these two keep it chill lol. I would say Jungkook is the 3rd most athletic he’s just more competitive. These 3 are definitely the most athletic ones in the group

BTS have a few really great song renditions, which I definitely think you guys would enjoy. As a suggestion, my two personal favorites are Jungkook & Jimin’s rendition of Charlie Puth’s “We Don’t Talk Anymore”, which, fun fact, Jungkook & Charlie Puth even performed this song as a duet during the 2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards in South Korea, which Charlie also attended. Charlie also performed “Fake Love” with the members during this performance, after revealing that that’s his favorite BTS song. Also, I know you guys heard a short clip of it during this episode, but Jungkook’s rendition of Tori Kelly’s “Paper Hearts” is simply incredible, his voice fits the song perfectly, & Tori even said that she’d listened to it at the 2019 BBMA’s when BTS attended the award show.

Carter here’s some context on ENHYPEN since you were talking about their situation at the end: They were formed through HYBE’s survival show I-LAND, so they met as contestants and the final 7 were put together through the judges and fan voting. Heeseung (now Evan) was seen as the “ace” from day one—one of the strongest vocalists and dancers, an all-rounder, and eventually the center of ENHYPEN. That’s part of why him leaving was SO shocking and sudden. He was such an integral member that it was hard to imagine ENHYPEN without him. The reason seems to be that his musical vision had grown in a different direction, but since he technically could’ve pursued solo music while still being in the group, a lot of people initially theorized that there was more to the story or that he may have been kicked out. I do agree though that the group feels noticeably different as 6, and Evan seems comfortable doing his own thing. Obviously none of us actually know their relationships behind the scenes, so I wouldn’t assume there was some huge fallout. But if you followed ENHYPEN closely there were definitely certain tensions that fans had noticed over the years, so who knows 🤷‍♀️

This is simply a suggestion, but perhaps it’d be interesting to watch the 2nd Generation GG’s & BG’s, so the generation before BTS, or even before Red Velvet, TWICE & EXO arrived on the scene, with groups like BIGBANG (Thanos’s group), Girl’s Generation (SNSD), SHINee, 2ne1, all groups that really defined K-POP & what it’s become. Also, it’s a completely different energy than what the industry’s like in present time. Again, this is simply a suggestion, but I feel like it’d be interesting & a fun experience for you guys.

Taehyung has actually talked about how he was treated during elementary school - middle school and how he always had a hard time making friends🥺. He told this one incident on live about how a ‘friend’ treated him poorly: “” I almost lost all my friends because of this one friend that I had. He had good grades and was good at sports too. I was just an average student. We were close to each other, but he didn’t think of me as a friend. I knew he thought I was inferior to him. One day for his birthday he had a party. Back in the day, a gift certificate was a birthday present. The friend asked everyone to bring a gift certificate as a present to his party. So I bought him a gift certificate. But I found out later he purposely didn’t tell me where the party venue was. He told others where to go, but not me. I was waiting outside for 3 hours. I dialed 1633 times, I exchange bills for coins to call him on the payphone. He didn’t pick up the phone, so I kept on calling him. Then he finally picked up the phone and I asked him “Hey I bought the gift certificate for you. Where can I find you?”. So he told me to come to the game room. So I went to the game room and gave him his gift and I told him that I was gonna go home. I walked home and cried the whole way. I found out later that he was jealous of me because of how I got along with others. That’s why he didn’t tell me where he was. After two years, he apologized to me, but it was still awkward afterwards. “” There is a video of Taehyung spending a day with a fan and it’s a really heart-felt video. She was cool, nice and chill and they had fun. She expressed to him how hard it is going to school and making friends. And Taehyung comforted him and told her how he understood how she felt cause he went thru the same thing. And you can see him start to cry a little while the girl was also trying to not sob 🥹💜 loved their interaction

what makes it more shocking to me is that they should start contract negotiations soon, and usually idols have more power during that period, so though they are extremely busy which maybe wouldn’t allow him to pursue a solo career like yeonjun for example, i think they could’ve negotiated for better schedules and conditions that would make it possible for all of them really, that’s why in my opinion there were issues between them behind the scenes though yeah we can never be sure

saying it's fate for bts is sooooo real omg bc if you really deep how small the chances were that they would be as successful as they are.. all the boys were from different cities/provinces and had different stories for how they were scouted (like tae deciding to go to the audition with his friend from daegu and jin being street casted), the company was at the brink of bankruptcy right before debut, there were times when members left and came back or thought about leaving during trainee days, they had to find unconventional (at the time) ways to connect with fans because bighit didnt have any pull in the industry as a small label, etc.. like it ACTUALLY was fate that they would get this big with their message and sincerity in their music.

Oppa is the word girls use for guys older than them. Same idea. Hyung is used by guys to refer to older guys. Unnie is used by girls to refer to older girls. Kim is the last name of those ppl in the doc. McKay, RM doesn't usually say his name before the raps but Suga says his name before his rap verses in almost all of their songs.
