The thirteenth post of the Boarding Party Character QNA:A question posed to Captain "Sawbones" Sawyer Cain by @yurpv: "Does the issue of limbs and flesh falling off occur often for you and your crew? If so, how do you solve it?"

Because of Cain, there's a LOT of zombies bobbing around the depths of the Soval Sea — and since they're undead, Davy Jones can't even claim 'em for his locker! This is a reply to the Boarding Party Character QNA! Please view the guidelines & submit your questions here!

I do figure that he has to do some self care to keep himself fresh ala Death Becomes Her. Just, don’t trip down some stairs and have some spare staples ready.

Wiping off his bones every so often to keep any grime from building up, cleaning the eight strands of hair he has left, dusting the inside of his skull, etc. He's had his head and arms popped off in the Boarding Party series a couple times, you just gotta cartoonishly snap him back together like he's a LEGO minifigure LMAO

So is he immortal? Pretty sure he pissed off a sea witch and is basically Brook where he’ll just be a living skeleton eventually.

CarterOfCourse

Yep! He was a drowned pirate who mysteriously came back to life fifteen years later for reasons completely unknown to him. Now he's just a living skeleton who can still feel pain but can never die again — even if you disassemble him and spread his bones around. (That's what Delores the Demoness planned to do to him in the "Hell or High Water" arc! Also featured in those episodes: Delores' dead crewmates, who are figuratively duct-taped together with rope, wire, and ship planks from the HMS Barker.)

I do feel that the other main characters sometimes reflect on how disgusting their lives are in all honesty. “How did I get to this point.”

Definitely, that's why D'anna is always homesick for her cow farm and Majel's constantly drinking. (Cain doesn't really care, though — he's too blinded by his thirst for revenge and treasure to reflect like they do.) The quality-of-life is a lot better on Winn and Tawny's ships, it's just that The Festering Wound is particularly nasty. (Literally — the reason why that ship is all green is because it's made up of rotten wood covered in mold!)
