there's a folder in my hard drive named "irlEdited." it was a series of daily artworks i created since i picked up a stylus, where the main gimmick was taking a picture anywhere and drawing one of my ocs into it. it was a pretty cheap way of practicing drawing characters in a place without actually drawing a place. but it did also have this nostalgic quality to them, as they are tied to real snapshots of my life. id often take pictures of empty spaces, imagining my characters residing within them. there was certainly some kind of metaphorical feeling from blending my fiction to my reality, kinda like how i juggle my digital and real identities. certainly was a motif of "duality" there... heh, its somewhat delusional, but it got my hands drawing, and that's what matters i suppose. perhaps i should pick it up again sometime, should i ever stop procrastinating and playing videogames...

this was a random, geometric anthro dragon i drew up around 2023. i had visited this beach throughout my childhood, having a good fish and chip every now and again.
