BIG UPDATES — please read (Future of Patreon, Commissions, etc) (Patreon)

I've been meaning to write this post for a long time, but things kept piling up and I wasn't sure where to start, but I think I've finally gathered my thoughts, and with January almost over, I have a clearer idea of the direction I want to take this year

Well,, 2025 was a year It started off pretty strong with many projects I wanted to work on, but as the year went on, I started to lose that motivation, and it ended up being the year where I made the least amount of artdrawing suddenly felt much more hindering, and I struggled a lot more than I expected, but I think like I'm finally starting to reach some stability again, and I'm hoping that the following updates will be for the betterthere's a lot to cover, so let's get into it

IMPORTANT NOTE: These updates will be added gradually as the year progresses, and they will only take effect once I announce them in a separate update post !!

PATREON PAGE UPDATES:

- Hiatus: Foremost, I'll be away for some weeks, and since February is right around the corner, this update pretty much takes effect immediatelyAs usual, the billing cycle will be paused during this time, and replies/messages may be slower than normalI appreciate your patience!

- Art Rewards: Monthly art rewards have been paused for some years now, but I've been actively thinking about bringing them back in a way that doesn't feel overwhelmingWhen I first launched Patreon, I was able to keep up with most rewards since it was during peak pandemic times, and I could dedicate a lot more time to working on themBut as things resumed back to normal, it resulted in delays as I tried to balance it between my studies and other thingsSo I've been thinking in some options like a welcome or one-time art reward instead of monthly rewards, or a bi-monthly systemI will share more details about art rewards once I make the official update post!

- Exclusive Adopts: A few people have asked if there will ever be Patreon-exclusive adopts, and the answer is yes! I've been testing the interest with these recent designs, and the feedback has been mostly positiveI'm still deciding on the format, whether I should go with auctions, set prices, or raffles (though last I checked raffles might not be allowed/? I'll need to double-check the terms again)If you have any ideas, let me know what you'd prefer!

- Memberships: I've been thinking about a possible tier revamp once I have the art rewards and adopts figured outHowever, I'm not sure if there will ever be new tiers, I think 5 is enough for nowIf you have any thoughts about the current tiers or suggestions for rewards you'd like to see added, feel free to share your feedback :]

COMMISSION UPDATES:

- Commission page: I've yet to update my commission prices, the commission page has been outdated for quite some time now, and I haven't had the chance to give it a proper refreshI also wanted to update some of the examples, as many of them are a bit outdated, and introduce new art types to add more variety to what's offered! Along with that, I'll be adjusting the Terms of Service to reflect these changes

- Delays: Commission work has been extremely slow the last few years, and I want to sincerely apologize for the ongoing delaysI've been putting my health on the back burner for a long time, and I couldn't figure out why I wasn't able to work. During this period, I was going through a strange art phase where I wasn't happy with the direction my work was taking, and drawing became a real struggle. I didn't want to deliver a product that didn't reflect the level of quality I expect from myselfOnly last year I was able to regain some confidence in my art and start focusing more on my health, so thank you for your patience as I work through thison the bright side, I've starting making progress again and I'm hopeful to catch up this year

- Commission pause: As a follow up for the previous update, I'd like to take the time to clear my current queue while ensuring the quality that each order deserves. Therefore, new commissions orders will be paused until further notice

- Tier Rewards: Commission reward will remain active, so your slots and discounts will still be saved for you, and you'll be able to redeem them later on without any problem when orders reopen againYou keep track of them on the Rewards Tracker site

ART UPDATES

- Streams: I want to try out streaming this year!! I've never really made an art stream before, so I'm excited to see how it goesI might try streaming on Twitch, since YouTube might get a bit too chaotic,, there was a time my friend started a stream on my channel wayy back in 2018, and there were like 2k people watching GULP, chat was going wild xDbesides, considering I want to focus more on my work, having hundreds of people watching will definitely help keep me in check hahaso stay tuned for that!!

PERSONAL LIFE UPDATE:

I've always been reserved about my personal life, making sure it doesn't interfere with my work, but lately it's been a bit of a rollercoaster and started affecting my work more than I realizedFor a while, I thought I was losing interest in drawing because it no longer brought me the same joy it used to. I haven't quite figured out where these feelings are coming from, and it's been frustrating meSo I thought it was just a bad art block or burnout that I'd eventually get past with some rest, but despite giving myself time to breathe and pushing through the demotivation to keep drawing, I haven't been able to shake it off

I'm still struggling with these feelings, as both my mental and physical health have been low, but I've started to actively work on myself and I'm currently getting the help I need Upon reflecting more on everything, I realize I haven't been as open about this as I should've been, and I'm sorry for any inconveniences it may have caused

I'm really looking forward to improve myself this year and I'm hopeful that with time and effort I can get back to my peak where I feel inspired and motivated to draw more regularly again

Your support has been a huge!!! and it really kept me going despite the setbacksI'm really grateful for your understanding and patience, I want to keep creating for you all and for myself
