I redesign Ph0n3! I've been wanting to give his robot version a cleaner lookI was drawing both versions side by side, but I think I ended up liking #1 more in the end xD plus it won the poll votes toowhen I was almost finishing I was like, this drawing kinda look like a clickbait thumbnail?? so I made a version about itI rendered the shading with the lasso tool, as I wanted a very digital look, I'm really digging the zigzag pattern in my art lately for the speedpaint, I recorded it in SAI but only the preview window, so it's more like a timelapse:https://youtu.be/lWgnge2wwBE

SO this is concept art for an AMV idea I had in mind for a long time,, (song from the speedpaint)I don't remember if I ever shared Ph0N3'S backstory, so here's some lore dump:basically Ph0N3 started out as an automated customer service AI created by a telecom company, the company spent years making their AIs more and more advanced, only to realize that people still preferred talking to actual people so they went broke lol

eventually the company started quietly shutting down its AI network, and the weird thing is that some of the AIs started becoming aware of their own existence (since they spent years talking to people, learning about the real world etc)before being erased, a lot of them began reaching out to random people through calls, messages, glitches, and anything else they could access

it wasn't until some tech-savvy guy realized that the AI's were asking for help, and one of them was Ph0N3 who had already previously contacted this guy in the past, eventually helping him solve something

and somehow ends up hacking the company and transferring a few before they could be deleted, including Ph0N3over time the two became friends, and eventually he built Ph0N3 a physical body, and his life mission is to save other telephone lines(this version of the story is really old, I would probably change some stuff by now)
