You are more than the sum of your music, and certainly more than Patreon. Yes, you have impacted many lives for the better through your music (including mine), but you’re not just music. You’re not a factory obligated to churn out more product. Part of the reason why I signed up here was because I was amazed all those years ago that anyone had given away so much good music to the world and I wanted to compensate that effort and soul. I’ll keep doing that for as long as I can. I treasure when you share an update or a song, but I consider that stuff a bonus treat because you’ve already contributed SO much to my quality of life. Think about what’s best for you. You have family and friends to care for and cherish. You have interests and needs and life stuff, and that’s how it should be. Even Patreon is only one aspect of the music part of you. You have a complicated health situation that, if we’re being honest, probably feels like a tedious struggle even on some of your best days, right? It sounds like you’re heading towards burnout and trust me it is HARD to bounce back from that when it happens, especially for meticulous people who always strive for excellence. I’m sure that chronic illness only amplifies those feelings. No one wants to see that happen. Do what you need to. <3 <3 <3 <3
