I’ve followed you for 10 years now and will continue to do so through any rut!! You got this:)

All actions are valid! Keep trying new stuff and doing things for the sake of it, that adds flavor to life!

When we are neck-deep in a funk, it's all too easy to forget that sometimes the simple things are what we need to un-funk ourselves. We're too caught up in the downward spiral too catch ourselves from the freefall with something as simple as strumming a guitar for a while. Why do we deny ourself the simple pleasure like that?? Let Queen Malu lead the way back to the light!

Its always the mixed bag of turning a hobby into a profession; on one hand, you get to work at something you love, but the incentives can turn into something, well, kind of bad.

this totally made my day. snow patrol is my childhood and this song brings back so much nostalgia 🤍🤍🤍 thank you so much for sharing malu, i hope you’re doing well!

Thank you very much for sharing <3. Also it is a wonderful song, would not have recognised the title or group so .. but I recignized the song :). One of the things in the past that, to me it seemed that you felt "happy" (for a lack of a better word) during e.g. office hours etc. when you "experimented" with music .. in those moments it always felt that it was for the sack of music or enjoyment .. not necessary to advance a project. For me .. I could always loose myself in music with my guitar. Sometimes I would only appear after a few hours out of my room .. :). Work did kill that for me. :(

Wait.... this songs considered old now??? Also, that sounded great! Thanks Malu!

malukah

Mr. Piiiiig!!! so nice to hear from you! Yes, the song is 19 years old. Old enough to drink in Mexico.

malukah

See… this is exactly the stuff that I stop myself from spending time on. I LOVED office hours and getting to show the work in progress. But I stopped doing it because it wasn’t super popular. And at this point, I wonder… why not? If it makes me happy and helps me find joy in what I do… why not? WHY NOOIIT MALUKAAAAAH???? hehehehe I’m sorry work has interfered with getting lost in guitar, too. Thank you so much for your response, Alb!

malukah

Riiight? Sigh… it’s just so sweet and dreamy.

malukah

Yes. Thiiiiis. And it causes me to filter myself so much to the point where I feel I don’t even know why I’m doing this. It’s the most beautiful feeling to have someone to share something you’ve made with. For sure. But it’s a fine line between this and finding yourself overthinking everything because it will be judged by others. Still trying to find a better approach for this. ❤️ thanks for watching!

malukah

This. We just need to go back to the beginning. Before self consciousness got crazy. At least for me. Love you Andy! I hope you are well!!!

malukah

Thank you for the support through it all!!! ❤️

malukah

You are the best. Thank you for saying that and for remaining here! ❤️

TheAlb

always enjoyed office hour .. a look behind the scenes and the experimenting for the shear joy of it :). ... experiment for as long as it doesn't become duty! :) work, was probably not the only reason, but at least a / the big one.

I saw the title and was like:"Oh no not World Of Warcraft!" But glad you're enjoying simply singing along to music again. I love doing that, even though my voice is crappy. Have you heard the band ROME btw? They're from Luxemburg. Mostly accoustic melancholic folky stuff. Their singer has a really good voice. You might like them. Mar'yana (Ballad Version) is a recent song I really love.

Thanks for including us! I too have recently rediscovered just doing "what makes you happy" goes a long way. Sometimes its as simple as carving out the time to read a book, or strum a guitar, or put some legos together, doesn't matter. Just do it! (am I gonna get a copyright strike, lol)

Rooney

Everyone else has already said it much better than I, so I’ll just say this: thank you for sharing 😁🫶🏻

Hello! I am in fact still here!! Have I've been somewhat here all along, life just got pretty busy so haven't really had as much time to interact as I used to. 19 years old? Yikes, I remember hearing it on the radio when it was newly released! Where has time gone?

DanXDelion

More of this! More of the fully authentic Malukah, please :)

Hernani Delindro

Thank you for the great song! And I'm glad singing it made you feel good! I hope you soon find yourself out of the rut and a balance. Because it is great to listen to you in any form :)

Great song! ❤️

I can understand a bit of your feeling. With my writing I have the bigger things I’m working towards, the novel I’m hoping to get published, but sometimes it’s nice to just write something small and simple purely for the fun of kit. I’ll write my characters in slices of life, things that would rarely show up in a book bits fun seeing them just be.

Allison

I love this song, and it's great to hear you singing for fun!

Tar Aldarion

I am glad you felt so good doing this and you want to keep it going. We will be waiting patiently for more. As was already commented by others: it's great to hear you singing for fun.

Grondhammar

I have three kids who are professional orchestral string players, and this reminds me of them -- the many hours of practice, the love for music, the joy it brings them, the drive to create something beautiful. Thanks. And, it's always nice to hear your wonderful voice.

Heike

I loved to hear you sing for fun, just you and your guitar. Wothout thenreverb. It was very beautiful.

Andrés González

I encourage you to keep doing this, getting free from the constraints of the professional life, being a truer artist. This remembered me why I like your concerts so much: they feel closer because they are casual and warm, songs are not prepared in advance, no stress over being perfect, there are hiccups and crappity-crap moments and a lot of laughs. It is seeing the profesional musician and at the same time the fantastic human being doing what she loves most.

This is one of my FAVORITE songs. Whenever I listen to it I always try to sing in harmony. :) It was so beautiful to sing along with you in harmony here, it made me feel connected to you! Thank you for singing another beautiful song.
