New Cover and News (Patreon)

Hey guys!

I hope you're well. I wanted to share a sneak peek of what the next cover is sounding like. I'm recording a waltz version of the Taylor Swift song "Love Story" for a friend that is getting married in August. It's been a cool process to try to give this song my own spin.

I got to work with Alex Knutsen on Guitars and Banjo, Bucho on Drums and Piano and Pablo Gonzalez on Bass. I love these guys and feel they always elevate whatever I invite them to play on. hehe!

The drums on this track are programmed MIDI drums. Bucho will be recording real drums this very afternoon and that's the final piece missing before I can mix.

Recently (February news, but I hadn't shared here), the game soundtrack that I recorded vocals, Sword of the Sea, for WON A GRAMMY! It was so nice to see composer Austin Wintory's soundtrack win this and it feels unreal to have been a part of it!

This week brought an unexpected work opportunity with a quick deadline. I've been working every spare second to try to make this happen. I will share more as I'm able to, but it's potentially very excitiiiiiing! (Not elder scrolls 6, though. haha. Not quite THAAAT major, but still wonderful)

I hope you are doing well and I'll see you soon on Thursday's stream on YouTube!

Hugs from Mexico,Malu

PS: I think 5 may be my favorite age yet. ❤️ hahaha! Using his taekwondo gear as a jetpack is pretty legit, right?
