Hey guys! 

I hope you are having a good week so far. We are just getting over a stomach bug from daycare. haha! It never eeeeeends. But thankfully, all is back to normal.

Here is a first mix of the Answers cover! I need to rest my ears and come back and check it again, but I'm really liking in general how it's sounding.

I'm hoping to get the video filmed next week. The babysitter is busy, so we must wait for her to return. I'm hoping it can give me time to prepare so I can film 2 videos at once! I'll keep you posted.

We had the February cover vote and The Parting Glass from Assassin's Creed was selected! Wooo! That shall be the next cover.

I hope this doesn't pass as a too much critic. It's really a hard song to cover. I like the first part (verse?) but I think the voices at the start of the second are a bit too loud/much and cover your voice. The following part feel a bit empty without the second voice saying the others words (feel, think, teach, etc). Like the end from now open your eyes.

Not to diminish what's here, because everything about it is [chef's kiss]! But curious, why leave out the opening [I close my eyes, tell us why must we suffer / etc]? It kinda sets up the back and forth narrative of the song, and it feels a bit awkward without it.

I’m glad you’re liking the song! I did think about recording the intro, but I feel without the contrast of having a male choir perform it, it could have felt a bit repetitive to hear that melody so many times, since it’s the same melody for the rest of the song. I do understand that it’s an important part of the song within the game, but for somebody listening on YouTube, I felt it would’ve been too long before the more interesting stuff in the song happens and they might click away.

I don't know the orignal song (never had much contact with FinalFantasy). However I very much like this song. It sounds very interesting :). Looking forward to the final mix/ verion. Also looking forward to what you come up with regards to The Parting Glass :) .. even so Loch Lomond *snief* :( lost (was introduced to Loch Lomond with a slightly different version (live) of it by Runrig and I've been there) .. :D

Ha. I was experimenting today... I think I will release a full version for you guys here with the intro. Still haven't made up my mind if it will go on YouTube like that, but it's definitely an interesting thing if I can ignore the "shoulds" and "but pop music is shorter" kind of mentality. Thanks again for pointing this out. Definitely made me sit and try something I had initially just crossed out in the idea phase.

Revisiting and definitely needed level adjustments and I'm even trying a few things arrangement wise. Simplifying. And it's feeling like it's actually having a bigger effect because of this. Thanks for the feedback!
