Of all the things in my life, food is the thing that most consistently brings me joy. And the idea of having to limit that joy is one of my biggest fears. I'm so sorry to hear about all of the nonsense that life has been throwing at you 🫂

Petri

I, for one, am very proud of you for making the change in your diet. It's certainly not easy but it's probably going to be worth it.

Morgan Davies (Firefighter_21)

Glad you are feeling better. The only way is up now. Can't wait for you to reveal the 2 projects you are working on. Love to you, Omi and Dante.

Great to hear that your symptoms are less severe and congratulations on being able to change your diet.

That’s all amazing and wonderful news! So happy to know you’re feeling better. Salad ftw?

malukah

Salad for the win, dammit. hahahaha Thank you, Jason!

malukah

Thank you, Martin! ❤️

Riiiight? It's definitely an uncomfortable feeling to not have food as a comfort. But, I'm willing to try to find a way through. ❤️

malukah

I hope so, Petri, thank you!

malukah

Thank you, Firefighter!

Nice to hear that you are feeling better. I look forward to what you have in store for us..

David

Glad to hear you're feeling better. As a stress/comfort eater who has been trying to eat healthier myself, lots of sympathy for the struggle :)

Glad you are feeling better. September was definitely a rough month. What was the name of the diet protocol you were following? My father had to do a 360 with his diet after his heart attack years ago (for a Polish man to give up kielbasa that was the biggest struggle ever) but we found with time there were lots of interesting recipes that actually tasted good and still followed what he was doing.

Narangren

So glad to hear you're doing better! You've been in our hearts as you go through this.

I don't know what you were eating before or what you are eating now, but I can confirm, that switching to vegan can help a lot especially for MS or other diseases. And I am very astonished how great vegan food could taste if you don't only eat tofu and salad 😅 there is nearly everything that could be "rebuild" in a vegan way or many things are easy to veganise as well 😊 so if it is that, what you needed to change, let me tell you: by the time you will discover even more and more tasty food, that you didn't even heard of before 😁❤️🌱 no matter what, you can do it and you will find your way 💪🏻sometimes a little bit more plant-based could be the key 😊

June Marie (CosmoDings)

Thank you for sharing! I’m sorry that the vacation was tough, but congrats on the wins after! I have the same struggles with food, as I have used it when being happy (to celebrate), when sad (for comfort), when I’ve done well (reward) and when needing a pick-me-up (motivation). Changing that is so hard! But I’m glad to hear that it’s going well so far! Looking forward to what comes next ❤️

❤️ It's the Wahl's Protocol. Basically no dairy, no eggs, no grains. It's so good to know you were able to find good recipes for your dad. I remember when Dante was born, since he was allergic to the protein in cow's milk, I had to stop eating dairy so I could breastfeed and not have him be affected. I was SHOCKED by how many replacement foods exist these days. You want milk? Sure, almond milk, soy, coconut, oat... hahaha there are so many options that exist today, luckily. I hope your dad is well!

I was eating everything, and tons of refined sugar stuff... like chocolate, cookies, cake. The Wahl's Protocol does allow meat, but I am testing it. The other MS recommended diet is vegetarian. My plan right now, is once I get used to eating following Wahl's (removing dairy, eggs, and grains), I will experiment and remove meat from the equation to see the change. Any little change feels drastic right now because of how badly I was eating before. hehe! But, it definitely feels assuring to know that there are so many options today ❤️ Thank you, Jen!

malukah

Thank you so much for saying this ❤️

malukah

I hear you, CosmoDings! Such a presence in life... celebration, motivation, procrastinating, sadness... all feel "better" with food. I am a bit worried about what will happen when I hit moments like this. Not quite sure how I will handle them yet. I'll keep you guys posted on what I come up with. hehehe! :D Hugs!!!!!

Agnes Jankiewicz

He's doing great now and even cheats a bit. I'm not sure if all the recipes on this website would follow the protocol but maybe some can be modified.

Thank you as always for sharing. It sounds like a lot of change and a lot of grief with it too. All we can do is the best we can do, and it's hard when that changes and makes us feel less than we were. Know that we're here for you and that you taking care of you is the most important thing. Hang in there, Malu!

I am loving this site! Thank you so much for sharing this with me! ❤️
