Characters of Worship 02

Xyron, Mouth of the Deep - Cult Leader

The crumbling Ziggurat may have stood for thousands of years before its current inhabitants laid claim to it. Perhaps the group were always zealous fanatics, perhaps the fey-touched presence within the temple influenced their minds. Either way they have dedicated themselves to an un-seeable, un-knowable being that resides beneath, or perhaps within the whirlpool. Its hunger is endless, and its followers relentless in their drive to bring it souls to devour. Xyron is the current mouthpiece of the being, directing its followers. Often to their own demise in the swirling waters.

Hemarch Vaelric Morcant

Hidden deep in the void , this temple clings silently to the rock face. It is unclear how or when it was built, time seems a distant concept in the endless depths of the chasm. Those who tend to it and serve its Gods know only one thing: It. Must. Be. Fed. The Hemarch is the spirital leader of the cult. They have a greater connection to the Gods they serve, but with that connection also comes a hunger of their own.

Professor Heidrun Elmertyr

Heidrun Elmertyr founded the Temple of Knowledge as as place to teach and learn. For him the act of study was a religious act, as if by learning more about the world he was bringing himself closer to the gods who created it. However, after being left as the sole survivor of a brutal raid on the temple his mind was broken. To this day he still resides alone in the temple, hoarding texts and scrolls and reading obsessively. He believes that if he can only gain enough knowledge, the gods will give him the power to return his followers to him.
