So we've been doing our 40k in 30m Series for a few months now and we feel like we a have a good handle on how long it takes to make and what it takes to edit one.   We initially went with the idea of 30 min videos to keep them digestible in a lunch hour and make them easy to watch.

One challenge were facing is that sometimes, particularly when the games go longer than 3 turns, it can be tough to show everything we want to show.

So one thought is why don't we make the videos slightly longer thereby giving us a bit more time to cover the game better.  However that means a bit more time editing, and it means in the end a longer video.

Having them shorter means they are more digestible and easier to watch.  Perhaps we do more summaries of some sections of the games?

So we turn to you, our core supporters to help weigh in as we finish the last batch of our current series.  What do you think?

I'd say between 30-40 min depending on the actual game length. Although 40k in 40m is catchy.

40 minutes is perfect- I'm watching more for the production than digestibility (?) so have no issues at all with longer videos.

40 minutes is fine. Still a lot quicker than most other video battle reports (which is half your usp - at least from my perspective). I actually run a quarterly 40k in 40 minutes mini tournament at my local club. 1 patrol. 400pts. 4 games. In an evening. Fun format that is completely unlike regular comp 40k. (Balance rules: 10W max, brb strats only).

No matter what, in POT we trust!

I don't mind 40 mins as long as it doesn't go beyond 1 hr. Keep up the amazing work. Looking forward for more battle reports. Thank you

I’d say 45 is about the longest I’d want.

It's awesome that you guys are coming to us first before changing anything! Really appreciate the work you do and 40 minutes of 40k unsurprisingly works a lot

Tuna Wizard

If you keep the production quality up, I'll watch whatever length. With YT it's easy to stop and start a video, so I don't care if it takes a couple sittings.

Mr Mid Table

Less player interviews more player reactions during the game, most players get animated over big dice rolls already. Leave the game analysis for JT he’s usually spot on anyways.

I’d also say if you get an epic game where it’s close, then do some interviews after the game. Similar to what you did in the apoc game. Then release that as a bonus episode.

You guys are awesome. Were honoured to have such amazing supporters

Agreed, 40 minutes is still short enough imo, thanks for the vote 😊

40k in 40min. Definitely. Also what does it take to be on the show, my wife plays Imperial knights, Gray knights, and when they release the new sisters. Lol

Where do you guys film the reports? I would love to be a guest if possible. You guys are doing amazing work.
