I slept on Overlord for a long time and it turned out to be super good and the eng dub wasn’t too bad for it either definitely a solid watch

So happy you’re continuing on here, I actually really fw it so far😎

i think i should have said this last episode but if you look at it she was being slightly racist to them without knowing because she asked for the cats name but not the people/86 names

Actually, this is Ending 2 - one of the endings you didn't listen to, as they were not included in the video you watched, so you may want to listen to it next time xDD

It's a simple disconnect, one intentionally created by San Magnolia, she had names to call them. Only having those call sings was never a problem before this point, while on mission or talking with her they always only used call sings, so she didn't think to ask them for different names. The cat came up in conversation, she didn't know a name for the cat so she asked about it. Back when playing MMOs it wasn't a rare thing for a pet and it's name to come up in a conversation over TeamSpeak way before asking people on the internet about their real names. Didn't mean people were racist towards each other because they asked about the name of a pet before the name of a guild mate. Hell there are colleagues at work who I only knew by nickname for months when I first started working there, without remembering their real name, if they had a pet and it came up in conversation I might have come to know their pets name before remembering their real name.

But this isn´t them playing a MMO. This is them out there fighting and dying because they are a differant race then her. If they weren´t an elite squad she would be calling some of them something like Spearhead A-1 instead of the aleast more personal callsign. But in principle you are right, but Jared his as well. Its internalised rasicm while not malicious by intent, its something more neferarious. Thats why she was so upset about, and then set out to right her wrongs. I think its great character writing
