Version 0.4 is in progress (Patreon)

I wanted to let everyone know what's going on with "The Roommate".

I already did a small update to version 0.3 a couple of days after it was first released to fix a couple of bugs, and added a title graphic.

Version 0.4 is underway. It includes a little retcon to clarify the backstory and explain Randy's interest in Kari. That's a subplot that was meant as a little bit of a tease, but people's reaction was much more negative than I expected so I decided to wrap that up, rather than prolong the agony.

Based on feedback, I'm also trying to flesh out the main character's interaction with Kari.

Obviously the main focus is the fourth week of our story and there's plenty going on there! I don't want to say too much to avoid spoiling things for those of you that haven't got to the end of week three yet.

The main change is that Kari now says she spent three weeks training in San Francisco, not three or four days, and we later reference events in that period.

But I think it's safe to say that there will be opportunities to develop relationships with some of the new characters introduced in version 0.3, and when I say relationships, I don't necessarily mean in a romantic sense.

I've already posted some preview images of candidates for the receptionist's job for Patrons, there will be more of those coming soon.

Once again, and I apologise for this, but the changes are enough to break previous saved games. However, if you have played before you should replay the first day and then you could safely use the skip function to rapidly move forward to the end of week two and I would suggest playing normally from there.

So, don't hold your breath for version 0.4, there's still a lot to be done, but I think when it's done you'll find it was worth the wait.
