Hibiki: FAQ (Patreon)

A lot of people have had questions, and I feel like there are some things I should talk about. Here is as a good a place to do it as any, so here goes the FAQ:

Will the game have branching story?

Not really, sorry. I absolutely do want to do more branching stories in the future, but Hibiki will be mostly linear. As the story develops, Hibiki will go on sort-of-dates with the rest of the cast and then near the end, you pick a girl and get their ending. Wanted to keep things nice and simple for this game.

When is the next update?My goal is to have a minimum of one major update per 2 months. Unfortunately, pretty much all of that depends on how fast Squish can draw, and he still has other commitments right now, but he thinks that this is a reasonable target.Each major update will include around 1-2 hours more of story.

Is the game going to use AI?Short answer, no. Currently the placeholder music is from a source I found that is apparently AI. I fully plan on replacing it at some point, but as to when exactly that will be, I don't know. I am going to replace all of the BGs with photos soon, and I'm hoping that one day I can afford to get drawn backgrounds to replace them, but all of that is going to depend a lot on how much this patreon makes.

Will the characters get more developed?

Absolutely, yes. It's still early days in the story but don't worry, a lot of stuff will happen later on, especially in the second year(Which Big Supporters can already access in the Advance version!).

Will there be any edits or changes to the story?

Depending on feedback, possibly. I am probably going to add some more scenes to give Hibiki and maybe a few other characters some more hobbies. But not much else is planned yet.

What will update in the near future?

Mostly me replacing backgrounds for now, and maybe some edits to story. I'll also be going and trying to add more sound effects and music to the Advance version. Stay tuned!
