v0.3 Progress Report 10 (Patreon)

Hi everyone,

This week I finally finished all the animations needed for talking and the new growth, and I also completed the dialogues of this update. As always, I feel like I’ve fallen short. I spend time writing the dialogue, but then, when playing the game, it goes by way too fast. This game is not a visual novel, which is why I don’t focus on having super extense dialogue, although I did want it to carry more weight in this update. But maybe this is just me, since I spend more time in the game than someone who simply plays it. That’s why I wanted to talk a bit here about how I feel regarding this.

I want the gameplay to be the game's strong suit. At the moment, there is hardly any variety in terms of minigames or the activities available on the island, but that’s the direction I want to head in. I could easily pad out the content by adding more text, so I’d like to take this opportunity to ask for your thoughts on the game so far, in terms of content.

Dyrah's Offering v0.3 will be released on November 10th, that’s for sure. But for future updates, this helps me know what to focus on, what to cover, and how much time to allocate for development. Also, if I can add or improve anything before the release, well, that’s a bonus.

I have a clear vision of the project and of what I personally enjoy doing, and that is what I will approach with the most enthusiasm and where I will focus my efforts. I won’t pursue paths that take me away from that, but I do want to do the best job possible, and feedback is a very powerful tool.

I’ve already read a bunch of responses both here and on itch, and I’ve been adding them as I found them to be good. So If you’d like to share any comments, I’d like the focus to remain on what is already in the game.

Sorry for my drama again, I started on the dialogue stuff and just couldn't stop yapping ahah. I really appreciate the support, imposter syndrome is simply something that exists :).

Next week I’ll get to work on both minigames, so I can add Mia’s new phase to them.
