4 hour HBomberGuy video about jreg incoming

Mark Mitchell

I've never heard of Twomad or James before, and I can see you clearly have complex emotions regarding them, but that irony poisoning is literally killing you too right now.

mrparanoia

you should definitely release this on youtube.com

Cloudy

Wow your new career as a coroner is a good Idea! Make good juice out of those corpses! But do it with a smile would be my advice. I think the emotional turmoil will traumatized the new viewers.

I second this. I really don’t even think this is too much worse than the twomad video (but it might bring out the hbomb defenders and start drama [but I’m not opposed to that {please jreg start some totally important drama on youtube.com so that I can feast on the souls of those involved}])

Rado

Wow, what a way to find out about that

Puzzle

Im not properly immunized to this irony

I eat faeces

I can't imagine cutting contact with a friend or even an aquaintence because they plagerized some videos or something. Like wow you're videos don't pass the peer review I'm never talking to you again. Very ghoulish people

this isn't irony poisoned at all. it just feels like classic sordid juvenalian satire

That's a very good thing. If you ever do, it would mean something is broken or dead inside. Cheers!

Ashley

I love your safe room. Really aesthetic terrorist bedroom vibe

Vic

this made me peel my skin with discomfort and concern please be careful

Jreg, I am so sorry. I’m so glad you have a good network of loved ones around you. You seem like a truly good person

Intellectual property is cringe, I'm sorry artists, if you want to eat you'll have to end capitalism. This preface is to explain that, I don't care about what James Somerton did and I fully encourage anyone to walk in his footsteps because plagiarism is more expression than staying silent. And he was visually transformative of the works he produced, but the Disney PSYOPS are obviously trying to raise the bar on the minimum required amount of transformativeness for avoiding ostracisation. Wow, great job being a servant of intellectual property Hbomberguy, HOW FUCKING BREADTUBE OF YOU. Now I understand your objection to being associated with it, when it didn't suit you anymore. Also my dear Jreg, I am appalled you didn't release this ostensibly out of cowardice, or the gaucheness or piling up on the controversy of the day. The cynical part of me, tells me you didn't release it because it's quality spiciness for the patreon exclusivity. And to that I just want to say, as a child of the 90s (still child of course) who pirated everything, that I liked patreon a lot better when it was about supporting artists rather than incentivizing them to take their art behind closed doors. Jreg, look at your patreon page on a free tier account, it at least lacks onboarding. Everything is locked down. Even your convert goers can't even ask directions. I tried the discord, it was a desert. In the show, you seemed to wonder, "I can't make a show in a park because I couldn't monetize it by controlling access" you seem blind to the answer that patreon is supposed to provide, we pay first then you do it. This is how art should happen, trustworthy artists propose concepts, patrons funds it, -everyone- enjoys. I find artificially scarcifying a freely and infinitely reproducible good is the greatest crime that capitalism has perpetrated on humanity and for that alone it must die.

When I watched this, I didn't know this was at a time when the internet thought he may be dead. I figured the corpse was metaphorical. James Somerton IS dead actually, in the sense that it matter, the entity we knew as James Somerton isn't coming back and even if it did, we probably wouldn't care because of the deception. In my opinion, what Somerton did is in bad taste, but nothing more. In is place, I would have done the same. I don't believe there is any need whatsoever to touch items that exist in the zeitgeist. Once you put it out there, it's open season. Wear other artist's face as a mask for all I care as long as your don't make it worse than the original (and even then). The reality is that the works he plagiarized were dead too. He gave them a face and a sound track and even some gravitas. Sure something felt off, the "I" and "we" from story to story was the not the same "I". It was not really Somerton's voice speaking even if it was coming out of his mouth. But in the end, if he hadn't said it, I wouldn't have heard it. And for that hbombguy and IP morality police can get massively bent and I will fly the black flag.

Just because I didn't package it with a solution Doesn't mean I can't I point my finger and say "This is bad" artificial scarcity algorithmic chasing platform-serving incentives derivative works prohibition artistic restriction to suit platforms gatekeeping against "immoral" art art bent to commercial perspectives That's the disease If the solution is a world with art, then so be it We can live off the heirloom pirated art in the mean time

Abby

this is an extremely important video i think

suicidalpuppygirl

god you’re literally me. every opinion i have you just mimic. only difference is instead of youtube subscribers to make jokes and express my beliefs and thoughts to, i just have the VOICES who the fuck am i venting to right now
