Regarding the "trick" he was talking about was what he learned South Koreans do when they (he and his soldiers) were discussing kdramas. His soldier said that they would hug and kiss to avert crisis. And that's what he tried 😁 The ending clip was him saying 10 nice words (literally) to the tomato plant like she asked. 🤗 Also the man at the airport, Gu Seung-Jun, he is not a soldier who ran away. He is a fugitive trying to hide in North Korea. The woman who arrived at the airport, Seo Dan, is Captain Ri's 10-yr fiancee. Her uncle was the one who lent Captain Ri the black car. Hope that helps.
