When I watched this drama, the most interesting thing was General Kim Shin(금산김씨). This is because the progenitor of my family’s surname, Geumsan Kim, was named Kim Shin and was a general. I wonder if the author knew this when he wrote it.

Nur Fadhilah Binti Adnan

I thought it is on netflix? You can search guardian the lonely and great god

Mikrokosmos

Literally THIS IS MY FAVORITE DRAMA OF ALL TIME! The storyline is crazy good and also the acting:) Somehow it gives me warm winter christmas vibe! + All the OSTs are unbelievable too

Nur Fadhilah Binti Adnan

If he is not a supernatural creature, i also would feel uncomfortable with the age gap

natasha richardson

This drama had another name so maybe that's why it's harder for yall to find its called Guardian: The Great and Lonely God in most other places I haven't watched this drama in years lol it will be interesting watching again with yall Lee Dongwook (the reaper) Is one of my favorite actors alone with Lee Jongsuk

Serena Shin

The old lady on the bridge is also kind of God(Samshin grandma). In Korea, back in old days, when people want a child, we would pray to Samshin grandma because she's a kind of God who's in charge of pregnancy. (That means every human being is her child.) Although she's not a real grandma of the girl, was just a close neighbor, she could protect her from the Grim Reaper as she's also a type of God who can see and talk to Grim Reaper.

Chade herring

And to answer your question Josh, no the Grim Reaper was not the majesty in the beginning, he is a new character. 💜💜💜

Goblin is my favorite drama! Lots of Korean watch this drama again every winter, because of the winter&christmas vibe of this show. So do I. (We call the season of Goblin lol) I'm excited to watch it with you guys in this winter!! (+ I fell in love with Gong Yoo (Goblin role) after watching this drama five years ago.)

namjooni0720

In Korea, you have to be careful of the age when you end up with nine, 19 and 29. I think it will help you understand the drama. :-)

ParkMinJeon

Cait , Eun Tak (the little girl) was the baby, yes. She was still in her moms belly when her mom got hit by the car as you saw. The Goblin saved them both. Fast forward 8 years later , she turns 9 and while she’s at school something happens to her mother and she dies. So she was able to see her mom before she crossed over.

I really like this drama💜 It's a well-made drama with detailed characters. 👍🏻That grandmother is a god who gives children who are handed down to Korea.🤭😁✨ “ Samsin Halmoni would protect every child from birth until the seventh year of age,(it is 8-9, Korean age)

ParkMinJeon

Yeah , lol you guys may get a little uncomfortable sometimes with the age thing (I did too) And it’s gonna take awhile for her to age up but eventually I think you’ll get used to it. I’m pretty sure she’s supposed to be 19 and he’s of course immortal so he’s hundred’s of years old.

Chantelle

I also had a hard time looking for this drama but it’s on VIKI (rakuten) and the subtitles are slightly different from where you guys are watching and I did notice the way the captions were said it was a bit more confusing to understand than on VIKI so maybe try watching on VIKI but if you can’t then where you guys are watching is totally fine as long as you guys get to watch it!!! 🤍

Chantelle

Also did some research lol and found out when this was filmed the girl the “goblins bride” she played as a 18/19 year old but actually was around 24 to 25 years old can you believe that she looks way younger lol 😆!!! Also I had a Theory about how since she’s the goblins bride isn’t she technically immortal as well or is like until she dies that she comes back to “life” you can say and then is inmortal idk just a theory I’m on episode 2 lol I only started watching it because of you guys!!!

Charmaine Flynn

I'm so trying hard not to spoil things for yah lol... but the Grim Reaper walked in front of that car to expose the dead lady in the trunk. He doesn't "make mistake" ;)

Danielle

This is my 4th time watching and don’t think I will get tried of it or the OST « BEAUTIFUL «  that V did a cover for and JK sung on his VLive… both Main Actors have been Celebrity Actors for as long as I’ve been(2008) watching K-dramas if not longer. Chemistry Bromance with Goblin & Grim Reaper is Hilarious and Endearing. Plus you can’t beat those Handsome looks….. the story is confusing now but comes together later and the Water faucet is gonna flow…be prepared Josh, you think this Episode was weepy, keep the tissues near by cause it’s not over till the very end. I’m not gonna spoil it but just sit back for the rest of the episodes and watch you guys enjoy my favorite parts. I’ll see you guys later at the end of the Drama, So Enjoy! PS: the Young King is played by Kim Min Jae, one of V’s good friends from their pre-debut training days ( he’s a year younger, got his drivers license before V and a car too which He and V did an episode on the Bromance show together) Goblins Nephew is also a good friend of V.

mia

When the Grim Reaper wears a hat, people can't see it, but people can see it when he take it off. :)

Janie

Goblin is great drama! Goblin is not supposed to interfere in the life and death of humankind, but since he saved the people who shouldn't be saved, the Grim reaper who has to collect the dead and missing souls hate Goblin because he messed up the Grim reaper's job. It would be interesting to see their chemistry throughout the story :) Also, Kim Shin's nephew, Deok-hwa is a rich heir whose family has been caretakers of the goblin for many generations and the old lady (Samshin grandma) on the bridge is the goddess of birth and fate and takes on many forms in the drama. She can look old and young.

SJ

This drama is my best k-drama. Can you react to two episodes a week? It's so hard to wait.

Deejay
