During the Joseon Dynasty, there was a sense that hair should be cherished as much as life because it was given to it by his parents. At that time (in the late Joseon Dynasty), there were people who had their hair cut short under the influence of Western culture, but they were still a small number, and the majority of them still remained conscious. (How much they cherished their hair was that they chose to die when Japan forcibly tried to cut their hair during Japanese colonial era.) So that was probably a great shock to the public because they valued it that much. The act of cutting Ae-shin's hair in front of many people by Dong-mae was to warn Ae-shin very threateningly and at the same time change public opinion. This happened at a time of extreme antipathy to the Japanese, which led people to think of Ae-shin as the position of a noble granddaughter of Joseon's most prestigious family, who should be protected by traitor Dong-mae rather than the image of a flawed woman who was dumped by a marriage.

Funerals are held at home, and guests are usually invited to eat in honor of the deceased. After that, the coffin is placed in the ground and the mortuary tablet is stored separately. they wear white for funerals.

How my heart is shattering into a million pieces for the people of Korea during this barbaric period :C Love Josh's optimism of a good outcome for the Rightious Army but unfortunately, history wasn't on their side. :C

I think you guys are amazing for how much you react. Your intro made me want to say speaking only for myself, I love the reactions to things from the members of BTS. They are my number one also. I’m used to waiting to watch anything because subtitles are usually delayed so I think that has trained me for everything. I’m too old to learn Korean so ive accepted that I always get to see it a bit later. I started watching you guys because I love your reactions and it’s fun to have someone to be a fan with. I like k-dramas a lot but I’m okay with whatever pace you go. I’ll probably try some of the anime because of you guys. Whatever you need to do, I’ll be around. Please don’t wear yourselves out or burn out. Apobangpo 💜

you definitily misunderstood the king, he never was on Japan's side or any other country other than Joseon. He was never influenced by them either. If he does something in favor of Japan it's because he doesn't have any other choice. But all this time he has been secretly fighting for freedom of Joseon.

about your intro, Its totally alright for me that you guys catch up with all the new rm content first, as an army myself i understand and feel how important this moments is for us and bts. Indigo album is a masterpiece. Dont apologize we always trust you guys and i personally know that you guys always keep your promises no matter how delayed it gets. the most important is that you guys dont overwork youself and ofc enjoy the journy slowly. Im glad to hear that you both had a great day . borahae.

The poor king, he had to rule Korea helplessly with minimal power :C
