Hello makers!

Some of you have reported that the Giant Modular Clicker keycap does not return to its original position after being pressed.

After testing, we found that certain lighter mechanical switches—particularly those rated below 50g actuation force may struggle to lift the original keycap. The printed keycap’s weight and any added decorations can affect how well it returns.

To help address this, we’ve added a slightly smaller, lighter keycap version! 🤗

Check Your Print Settings

Your slicer may apply different settings when opening the file or changing printer profiles. Before printing, please check these recommended settings when printing the KEYCAP:

Wall loops: 2

Sparse infill density: 5%

Bottom shell layers: 5

Increasing the wall count, infill, or shell layers adds weight, which may make it harder for the switch to lift the keycap after each press.

Customizing Your Text or Logo

Adding your own text or logo? Keep the added design 1–2mm thick to help keep the keycap lightweight.

Thicker designs add more weight and may prevent the keycap from returning properly—even when the undecorated version works well.

💡 Keep your decoration small and lightweight, especially when using a lighter switch.

Choosing a Mechanical Switch

If the keycap still struggles to return after using the updated version and recommended print settings, consider a compatible switch with a higher actuation force, preferably 60g or above.
