Hotwire Insolve BTS: Bulletproof Drive cover + page 1 (Patreon)

Just sharing the pencils and other stuff for the cover and page 1 of the Bulletproof Drive mini! first up, the cover:

just sketching Juno's car wasn't working for me, so i broke out the 3D model of it i made in blender. i cut out juno and placed her next to it and took some pictures.

then page 1 itself! to save time, i'm doing the background straight away. just the sketch, no under drawing. i'm not even using vanishing points for crying out loud 😩 it's a big step for me. i'm trying to get this down quickly, so the bigger comic will have more in-depth BGs, i'm thinking. but this whole process is really getting me in the groove of comic making again.

the characters, however, do get inked and filled in with grays.
