Update/Ramblings 08/06/2026 (Patreon)

Hello!

I haven't really done these blog update things in a while, so here's one!

Now that I'm finished with Bulletproof Drive, what's next?

The proper, longer Hotwire Insolve story would be the next logical step, but there's a few things I wanna figure out before I truly dive into that. For the immediate future, what's next is... more Bulletproof Drive and progress on another mini.

Bulletproof Drive was an experiment. Practice for making a comic and being okay with it not being the most mind-blowing thing anyone's ever seen. Not that I don't think it's good—I'm really happy with how it turned out—just getting used to making a thing and getting peoples' eyes on it. As opposed to obsessing privately and never showing anyone, haha.

SO what's TRULY next? I have a couple epilogues in mind, one page each. I'll be drawing those and they'll be exclusive to Patreon and the collected digital/print version of Bulletproof Drive. I'm thinking the digital version will be free/discounted for Patrons and have a flat price for non-patrons.

I'm also looking into the logistics of taking pre-orders for a printed version. I haven't done something like this before, and i've over-ordered books in the past, so a pre-order thing will help me get the exact amount of books I'll need. I'm also thinking of including some other goodies with that like a sticker or two.

I mentioned ANOTHER mini, what's that? Well...

While I worry I'm just procrastinating the longer Hotwire comic, there's a lot of angles to pay attention to in regards to this entire Patreon/indie comic artist venture. While I'm done with Bulletproof Drive for the most part, I'm still looking to experiment with my process before I dive into the rest.

I also have a tier of this Patreon where I draw pornography. I mentioned having comic ideas and introduced characters for that side of things... So I outlined a short smut comic (about half the length of Bulletproof Drive) featuring my hacker characters Priya & Yumi. I've already made some headway on that and I'll be sharing some sketches with "The Good Stuff" tier very soon.

This comic will have me trying out several new things. Applying some stuff I learned/relearned from Bulletproof Drive, making a comic FULLY in CSP (the last one was mostly done in Procreate), and no promises, but I think this one might be in color too.

My hope is that this smut comic will help me nail down how the longer Hotwire story looks and help me get find my true workflow. Bulletproof Drive was fun, but it's not quite the look in my head. My iPad is also very old, so best not to rely on it for a 100+ page story methinks.

So I'm just drawing porno for the foreseeable future?

Nope! I'm constantly drawing tons of things, and making progress on Hotwire Insolve in smaller ways (like these character pages for Juno & Kyrie!). I'm currently working on an animation of the action sequence from Bulletproof Drive that you can follow along on. I have a WIP of that up now! More soon! Not to mention I'm constantly doing illustrations and sketches that are NOT porno (some are still tho eheheh).

All my focus going to Bulletproof Drive I feel put a small damper on Patreon posts, but I'm drafting up several things for Behind-The-Scenes that I'm hoping will be interesting process breakdowns and Hotwire lore dumps that I'll be dropping over the next few weeks.

I'm mostly making these posts about what I think is probably interesting, but I'm open to suggestions on what y'all would like to hear/see more about as well!
