Somehow I find these posts a bit easier than making fluff and puffs right now. There's so much going on as I find I am actively blowing my life up at the worst possible moment and so I'm doing what I can do keep showing up for myself during some of the most difficult times I've ever had to manage. Here we go! Let's look at whatever month this is, lmao!

Gods, Im awful at time. T^T

I saved up and got these little axolotl earrings and got complimented at the pet store while getting the pupper's nails trimmed. I really like axolotls, I know they represent autism a bit and I've always felt like they were great little ecosystem warners, like they can only survive in a very specific climate so when the climate around them isn't good, they will usually warn you with their poor health before other more resilent critters might. I feel a lot like that. I notice changes first, no one believes me, and then when the tiny snowballs turn into avalanches, then everyone moves into action, lol.

I got sugar pumpkins this month and we made some AMAZING like pumpkin pudding? Its like pumpkin pie but better, OH! So good!

I also saved a bunch of butternut seeds and roasted them with some garlic confit (ofc >:3) and it was AMAZING!

We also check out Too Good To Go to get cheaper meals at a discount and one of the placeshas this pumpkin that looked like a butt lol. And then when we came back later, they put shorts on him, LOL

We made more garlic confi too, and butter nut cubes, so so good!

My painting is ... being tolerated at this point, I think she might be done, despite what the lady says xD

I was shucking our corn and found a sleepy guy inside among the silks, look how lazy he was when I found him!

Also! Apparently up in Mass, it's time for ticks again. It's been a long time since I had to worry about ticks before worrying about fire ants. But here we are! This is the second little jerk I found on Kupo!

My childhood pomeranian had a huge tick on her and it was so hard to get it off, so engorged, she was traumatized about letting anyone mess w/ the back of her neck where it was for a long time.

Of course, seeing that, I panicked bc I didnt wanna traumatize Kupo w/ tick removal and normally I ask someone else to help bc I panic. But I sat through the panic with me and Kupo and I kept talking softly and got the tweezers and slowly got it off and it worked! We've done it twice! I gotta do better about suppressing them during breeding season next year I guess because the area is so foresty, I mean I never lived in a place w/ so many different bird calls lols, but Ill try again next year. For now, Im giving him sneaky massages so I can check for ticks til we get into winter. I do have some DE, maybe that would work.

Im also trying to do mushrooms but I think I failed. This is sucky, but maybe its more of an exact science than I thought. Oh well, Ill keep running it as a test and hopefully see what makes it fruit vs whatever Im doing wrong, maybe it isn't staying warm enough in the cooler months? Idk! Im brainstorming >m<

Lol you can see some butternut seeds on the brown towel, NOOO, oh well, my house is lived in, lovelies, just the way it is. Look at all the chaotic shit Im getting up to, these goblin behaviors just never gonna have the Martha Stewart class and shine. xD

OH! I went to the apocathary and got some milkthistle >w< ā¤ļø Good for liver, I think, it's been a few weeks since I fell down the rabbit hole learning about milkthistle lmao

I also made pesto!! I was feeling quite down & didnt have energy so this was so nice bc the pesto was already in the freezer waiting to be melted over some noodles!

I like to prepare like that.

Mostly because I never know when my energy levels will be up or down, so I try to do things ahead of time on good days so I have buffers.

But damn that pesto was GOOD. I made it from the herbs from the CSA too!

I been going for more walks, often alone now which is so interesting bc I used to have panic attacks all the time doing that and so it's really been a lot of work finding different methods to calm down and I've even started talking to folks, Idk, I was never taught how to make community so Im giving it a go wherever I think it could work.

I'm learning the dogs names, and OMG THERES A DICK CAT UP HERE! Idk if yall member dick cat from Texas, he died after so many years of being a street cat but I loved that cat, fed him, would let him in when it was terribly hot, put out water, food, pet him, he was great. I was so sad when he came out to say goodbye for the last time.

But wonderful news, I found a new little guy here, but I spooked him the second time bc I was so excited to see him again, he was like oh no, no not like that and sauntered off and so Ive been waiting to see him again, I promise this time Ill be so super calm! Eee >w< <33

Now I wanna know if yall have been up to anything and if so, what!

It feels as our lives fall further into AI slop, late stage capitalism, and collective trauma inflicted by the oligarchy, reaching for a little bit of human connection feels better by the day. ā¤ļø I really enjoy getting to share soft things w/ folks, things I've got going on in my life without it needing to make me money or be a hustle of some sort, or worse a course to pander for 4 easy installments of $49.99 or some shit. God, I wish the marketing would all just stop. I just wanna share and connect about soft skills, ya know?

Eee, so I hope I get to see what yall been up to this month~! ā¤ļø Much love, cuties and Ill see you next month!

Glad to hear your month has been so full of interesting stuff. So much food and socializing sounds wonderful right about now. Still working on my own improvement, still trying to be a better friend and overall person, and I've made little steps here and there. Unfortunately, I'm reminded of why I wanted to go hermit mode to begin with as I find myself catching feelings for someone I've been talking to regularly, and I don't think it's a viable option, at least not for the foreseeable future. I'm just trying to focus on being a good friend instead, but it's hard. Oh, you mentioned ticks being a possible issue for your dog, I use simperica on mine and it seems to have worked pretty well so far (no fleas anyway).

Your month was really eventful :D And so much food ^^ And it's nice to see your picture is done. Things have been very quiet for me lately. But I'm fine, and that's what matters most.

Ooh, those earrings are so cute! It always nice to find something to wear that just feels right, whether it has a specific meaning or if it’s just comfort/vibes. I’ve been wearing these purple sweaters lately that make me feel like that, and I got complimented on it a few times last month—makes me wonder if other people can sense when someone feels comfy in themselves, or if I just happened to pick a flattering sweater lol (though I’ve got nothing on that pumpkin in those shorts, that’s just too tough to beat). Also, I continue to be impressed by how you keep trying cool and new things with cooking+food prep. I’m slowly trying new things myself, when I have the time+energy. My next little quest I think I’m going to try is to figure out a hot chocolate recipe I enjoy. Last year I tried a few store bought ones I didn’t like, and now I’m looking for a good replacement for evaporated milk (that’s what my mom always used growing up, but I don’t think it agrees with me anymore). As for other little things in the last month, I did carve my first jack-o-lantern for this Halloween! I think it came out alright considering I didn’t use a stencil, but I definitely plan on finding/making one for next year. I’ve also been practicing more saxophone—only a few times a week, but it’s been nice. My latest favorite thing to play is ā€œThe Merry-go-Round of Lifeā€ from Howl’s Moving Castle (link to an amazing saxophone version included below). As for a bigger thing, I also attended my best friend’s wedding this last month! It’s the first wedding I’ve ever been to, and also the first big public event that I’ve been to since the start of covid (like, the first thing I’ve been to with over 100 people). It was definitely a little overwhelming at some points—I forgot just how challenging it can be for me to be in a place with so many different conversations happening at once. That said, I was around good friends and was thrilled to be celebrating the love and lives of the people I love. Thank you again, Moon, for making a space for folks to share comfy little joys with each other. Those little things are all the more precious in trying times. šŸ’œ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoGQrM8v23c

right now I don't really have much going on, just some piecemeal work here and there but nothing much else. Right now it is only really christmas I am looking forward to (though that is two months away) P.S. ticks suck (pun not intended), I remeber I had one on my neck after a school trip and it is a devil to get off, ended up having to submerge it in alcohol to get the thing to come off.
