Spring day is sad because it's about a tragedy in korea where more than 200 highschool kids died, they were on a tour and their ferry sank. Spring day has been charting each day for the past 8 years, it's the largest charting song in history. There are explanation videos on youtube for spring day's lyrics and music video, please watch them, the lyrics and scenes in the vedio are inspired by literature and cinema, it's great. The situation was handled badly because the captain told the kids to stay in their cabins instead of evacuating the ship, and korean government also tried to cover up the case. BTS didn't publicaly say that the song is directly about that tragedy, they said it years after it was released because they didn't want people to think that they were using a tragedy to gain fame, but the video makes it clear that it's about that tragedy. Korean government was blacklisting celebrities who talked about this tragedy, yet BTS donated to the families of victims and met them hence they risked being blacklisted by the government at a time when they were a small group from a small label that didn't have enough money or resources

Please check out bts's "house of cards" and "truth untold". They are also emotionally deep, introspective songs and they hit so hard especially when they are live. There are live performances of these songs with lyrics on screen, they are amazing

Please react to “Jungkook the Main Vocalist of BTS” by Ida S. It gives you a deeper look at his extremely important position that he had had since 15. While Taylor’s Introduction video was great, it showed J-Hope’s role as Dance Leader, RM’s role as the Leader, but left out critical details of how Jungkook’s role as the Main Vocalist acts like the “Vocal Leader”. It’s an absolute must-see video for any new ARMY. 😊💜💜
