I was thinking he's talking to his past self, Mecha Man Blue in his prime years that was more of a ruthless crime fighter, looking down on him for being weak and basically retired now. Could also be that he sees his father in his past self too!

Looks great! It scared me a Lil! The colours remind me of some draw images I Saw on the incredible's movie ? Did you had any inspo from that? I may be wrong, It Just gives An old epic comic Cartoon logo/comic vibe. Sorry If I AM mistaken.
