Known Issues

Saving a scene after moving clothing causes the character to appear naked the next time the scene is loaded (Workaround is to duplicate the character. Trying to make a fix)

After a long stretch of iteration, the initial release is ready. Bone Visualizer Pro is a Studio plugin for HS2 Studio NEO V2 that surfaces every bone on the selected character (or item) as a clickable marker in the viewport, lets you move/rotate/scale bones with a Blender-style workflow, and stores everything you commit so it survives scene save and reload.

What you get

See every bone, color-coded by region. Head, Body, Hair, Clothing, Accessories, Items, plus a Favorites slot you curate yourself. Each region has its own toggle so you can hide everything except, say, hair bones while you're styling.

Bone weight heatmap. Select any bone and the mesh it influences lights up with a vertex-color heatmap so you can see exactly what you're about to deform. Auto-hides while you're dragging so it doesn't fight the geometry; configurable behavior (Hold Shift, Toggle, or only while G/R/S is in flight).

Blender-style transforms. Select a bone, hit G for translate, R for rotate, S for scale. X/Y/Z locks to a world axis. Scroll wheel adjusts sensitivity mid-drag. LMB commits, RMB or Esc cancels. Cursor wraps to the opposite edge when it hits the screen border, so you can pan-rotate as far as you want. Hotkeys and an optional modifier (Shift/Ctrl) are configurable if G/R/S clash with another plugin.

Pose persistence that actually persists. Anything you commit is stored, re-applied every frame, and serialized into the Studio scene .png. Reload the scene, edits come back. Disable and re-enable the plugin, edits come back. "Reset this bone" snaps it back to where it was before you first touched it — two-click confirm so you can't blow away work by accident.

Clothing rig isolation. Edit a clothing bone without warping the body underneath it (and vice versa). Built on a shadow skeleton that re-routes the cloth SMRs to clones, so the body's animation keeps flowing through but your dress/jacket edits sit on top of it.

HSPE integration. Right-click any bone to open HSPE's Advanced Mode focused on that bone. Soft dependency — works whether or not HSPE is installed.

Stacked-bone click-cycling. When markers overlap (face clusters, hair roots), click the same spot again to step backward through the stack from front to bone behind it. No more "the bone I want is unreachable because something else is on top of it."

Camera-aware bone hiding. Markers on the far side of the character are culled by default to cut clutter; the cone angle is configurable, and rotating the camera around the back doesn't lose your selection.

Items and props too. It's not just characters — bind it to any Studio item with a skeleton (hair items, accessory props, anything with FK nodes) and you get the same workflow.

Install

Requires BepInEx + KKAPI on HS2 Studio NEO V2.

Drop the DLL into BepInEx/plugins/.

Launch Studio, select a character or item, press V.

Click a bone. Press G/R/S. Edit. LMB to commit.

Notes: This plugin is currently not tested with VNGE

Sorry I wasn't able to take a video (work commitments). Whatever changes you made fixed the issue though! I reloaded old scenes that were affected by the bug and they loaded with no issues! I double-checked by creating new scenes, saving, and reloading and so far they've loaded flawlessly!

Hi. I was using Bone Visualizer Pro 1.1.1 just now, moving and rotating a bit of a character's Top clothing item. It seems that when I applied the transformation, the same change was applied to the Top clothing of several OTHER characters that were in the scene!? (I'm pretty sure I didn't have multiple characters selected at the time?) I couldn't undo it, and had to reload the scene. It's only happened this once so far, and I don't know what are the steps to replicate it. Maybe I just did something dumb by accident, without realising. But I thought I'd better let you know in case it's a bug.
