A little story behind this one.  This is based on a real-life event, albeit without the B.E.  :-)   I had gone out with a group of friends, including a girl named Rose (who I had known from school since I was about 10 years old. We went to a cool, "hidden" bar down in Greenwhich Village in Manhattan. Rose had sat at the bar just like this, wearing an outfit similar to this. 

I had made the black-and-white drawing for myself a few weeks after that night (I think sometime around 1998 ??). I then reworked it into a color drawing in 2007, which you see here.
