Hello and welcome to the Patreon for the project Bound Armaments.

This is the very first build of the game, available for everyone to download. As I update the game, earlier access to new builds will be available to Patrons, and after 2 weeks or so, will be available to everyone.

What’s in this Build?

This is a very early alpha build focused on testing the core gameplay loop and combat systems. In general, this build includes:

Prologue: To introduce you to the mechanics and story of the game. While it is serviceable, I am still looking for anything I can improve on.

Playable Characters: Currently, there are four playable characters. My plan is to expand on this, but there are more things I want to do first.

Equipment: Basic Cursed Equipment that the player can use. They currently have very basic buffs such as attack and defense increase, but I would like to expand further on this idea, such as giving the wearer new skills.

Enemies: There are currently 4 variations of enemies, including a Boss. They have different mechanics, ranging from simple attacks to forcing your characters to use bindings.

The Hub: Where you can manage your party, buy items, forge equipment, and also select the dungeon you would like to explore. Currently very rudimentary, as it is just simple buttons.

Dungeon: There is currently one 1 Dungeon available, which is effectively a procedurally generated version of the prologue.

What’s planned?

The game has a long way to go from here. Of course, there are some things that I want to prioritize. The list may change over time, but as of now, in no particular priority order:

Better Presentation

Currently, I'm unsatisfied with how the game looks, even as an in-development project.

Main Menu: The main menu is currently very bland. It will be replaced by better background art, while also furnishing the text with a nicer font and style.

Main Hub: The hub currently are just a collection of buttons. It is functional, but lacks the style and flavor. In future builds, the hub will look more like, well, a hub. It would look more like an encampment or a small community of sorts, and each function would have their own NPCs

Exploration and Combat: There are still some things that are lacking from the main gameplay loop. The lack of combat music, enemy and character sprites, user interface, transitions between exploration, combat, and events, are all subject to change in future builds.

Character Sprites and Expression: I would like to eventually rework the sprites I have for the characters, as I feel that they lack some details and touch ups. I would also eventually add more reactive expressions for them, such as when they take damage or are bound, as an example.

Mechanics & Content Expansion

Besides the visuals, there are already mechanics that I have planned to implement in the near future:

Equipment Variety: More gear variety and more equipment the enemy forces on the player characters, with differing effects and visuals. Gags, armbinders, blindfolds, and ropes is just the start. Appearance changes of characters are included in this.

Dungeon Variety: By 1.0.0, I would like to at least have 4 dungeon varieties. Each dungeon would have their own unique events, rewards, and enemies dwelling inside of them.

Enemy Variety: As each dungeon would have their own unique enemies, naturally there would be more enemy variety that the player would have to deal with.

Character Progression: While the characters can level up, they only gain increased stats from this. In the near future, I will be Skill Points that can be used to unlock new Skills and Passives.

Lust Mechanic: The current implementation of the Lust System is very basic. In time, I will add more complexity to it, including skills and enemies that have differing effects depending on the status of the character.

Capture Mechanic: In future builds, I am planning to implement the ability to capture opponents and bring them back to the hub. The reason it is currently unimplemented is the lack of reason as well as sprites for the captured enemies. Once figured out, it will be implemented before 1.0.0 releases.

Expanded Roster and Story: Introducing new playable characters that is recruitable by completing certain quests or story beats of the game.

Because this is a 0.1.0 build, you will encounter rough edges such as bug and balance issues. As such, any feedback through the F95 or itch.io pages for the project will be appreciated.
