DOWNLOAD:

- remove previous versions of this file, if you have any

- grab the RPO Core Library if you don't have it;

- grab the .package file from this post and put it directly into your mods folder or one subfolder (it's a .package file, so, not extracting!)

Hey I have not been able to have a family adopt through the Agency they are always denied, whether the agent visits or not. Any tips to make it work?

Hi, The agent should always show up ; what lot type are your sims on? 🤔

Oh I’m sorry, the agent shows up every time I choose not to waive the visit for $5000. My question is for tips for successfully impressing the agent, since so far I am always denied.

Is it possible to have a step-parent adopt the child of their spouse? For example, my Sim had an affair and I'd like the dad of the older children to adopt the youngest one that is not his biological child.

When my sim couple adopted the baby of a friend, my sim mom was listed as the baby's mother and adopted mother, and the sim dad was listed as the "step father" in the family tree? How do I have the married couple both listed as the parents of the adopted baby?

Hey! I am not able to adopt a baby through this mod. Every other part of the RPO mod is working. I tried downloading it independently as well.

Normally when married they would both get 'parent' directly, so idk honestly

Hi hun!! I don’t know why, but, when I click adoption, it tells me to talk to my partner, they agree, and then nothing happens. The baby is still there in the household. I tried with an adult sim and a teen sim. When I hover over the option, it says it will hold for the next pregnancy, and that’s it.

Once they've agreed, you need to actually give the child for adoption

Hi! So I deleted it and reinstalled it. It gives me the option to put them up for adoption but now it says only and infant and toddler can be put up for adoption. Is that correct?

Yes due to babies having become too buggy since infant patch. Age them up

Hi there! I absolutely love this mod, but I'm having an issue with the adoption portion. Nothing happens when I select the agency option fora host family. I can't imagine I'm doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what the issue is.

Hi, can you try in another household? Sometimes people have trouble for a certain while in a certain household, and it eventuality goes away. It's completely mysterious

Hello there! My family gave their infant up for adoption to a friend. This friend raised the infant until it aged up to a teenager. Somehow I don't get the possibility for the adoptive parent to tell the now teenager about the adoption. Instead the adoptive parent can give the teen up for adoption. Is there a way to fix this?

I assume it's a problem with the EA bug about commodity markers. If you come to the discord we can explain and show how to try to compensate for it

Hi, I have a question. Where can I find the option to contact the adopting family to ask for news? Couldn't find it yet. Or does the child has to get older first (currently an infant)? Thanks for help!

Hi, the age should not matter; the adoption was with the Agency?

Yes, it was via Agency. I selected a random Sim my Sim doesn't know.

Hm. We could look at logs on discord to see what's missing on your sim if anything, but without that I can't say what's wrong 🤔

Update: As the child aged up to a toddler, I'm now able to contact the family and ask for news :)

Hi, I have a question. I downloaded after not updating in a long time and now adoption has completely disappeared from RPO. I deleted the previous version I had. The other parts of RPO is working.

Hello, either you have an installation problem or the sims you're trying with don't qualify (too young, etc). We can check further on discord with some logs

Hi, when I try to select fill online application form for adoption it says that there is an event running, but I have no events currently running. Is there a fix for this?

Hi, that's nothing I can do about, the game tells the interaction there is an event running, it's not on my end

Hi I’ve had some issues with the adoption mod. Basically, if I have a sim in a couple, when I click on the ‘discuss putting child up for adoption’ or the ‘discuss adopting a child’ the action goes into the queue but then disappears and turns into a different friendly interaction. Also, I haven’t been able to find the option to contact the host family for a child put up for adoption or anything to do with telling the child that they’re adopted.

My sim keeps getting rejected? I don’t get why, their house is clean, he’s a police officer, he gets paid a decent amount what else do they have 2 do?

When you do the visit, which moodlets appear negative? Otherwise you might have a commodity related issue, EA has some weird on and off bugs with vanishing those in certain circumstances. But I can't tell, unless if you wanted to come over on discord and share logs of your sim done from right before they open the letter

I can fill out an adoption application when clicking on the sim and going to adoption. It keeps saying that an event is in progress. There are no events in progress. I have redownloaded the install, cleared localcache, and repaired the game.

Hi, this is due to the EA sims special event running currently. For whatever reason the EA game test for a event running in game considers that thing an event too

I had teens get pregnant and decided to give the baby up for adoption. They were in a relationship, but not married. She never had the option to ask him about putting the baby up for adoption. It let her do it all on her own. Now that the child is adopted, she has a "biological child" sentiment on the baby's profile, but the father does not. Honestly it acts like he had 0 part in having the baby at all lol. I was wondering if there's a way to add that sentiment to the dad?

Hi, what relationship where they in? The way it goes normally is, significant other or Soulmates, and up to married of course, qualify for having a say. If you want to give him the visible relationship status towards the child, you can in Sim Info Manager for example

Honestly I'm not sure what their relationship was when the baby was actually born. It was quite literally a shock lol. They woohoo'd at prom and i thought nothing of it until the next day when it popped saying she was in her 1st trimester. She did have the option to tell him the news, and with childbirth mod she asked him to accompany her to the delivery. He actually delivered the baby himself at home lol . Afterwards though, she had no options correlating him to the baby, even though he was listed as her dad in the family tree obviously. Once she was adopted he has 0 ties. The mom had a birth emergency and ended up hospitalized for 3 days afterwards, so she never got to even talk to him again until the baby was already an infant and gone. I've tried to use UI cheats and MCC to manually add the "biological child" sentiment to him, but neither have that option.

Hi! I hope you are doing well. I had a sim couple have sextuplets and give up 2 for adoption to another couple. The issue is that when the two finally became teens, the option for the adopted family to tell the teen they were adopted was only available in one. Is there a way to fix this through the debugging menu? Also, possibly in an update could you possibly make it possible to give up more than one baby at a time, without having to go through the steps of getting permission from the partners. Thanks so much for all you do. Love your mods.

Hi, it would depend on what is missing on the sim(s) so I'd need so see some sim logs to be able to say if it can be cheated on and how. You can share those on the discord :)

Hi! I had a question. I'm trying to have a child orphaned and then adopted by another family but they don't show up in the adoption options. Can kids only be adopted if they were given up?

Hi, that is a bit of a particular situation - there is no option currently to adopt a sim with no parent, but this is a very reasonable thing, assuming that the sim has a household, and not overly complicated to add to what's already there so I will do that as soon as I can!

Hi. My sims recently adopted a baby, but it doesn´t show on her milestones that she had a baby/adopt a baby. What should I do? I don't have Pandasama Child Birth installed in my game.

Quick clarification, it says RPO Collection M09 Adoption Expansions but the link provided says RPO Collection M08 Insemination & Surrogacy... so just wanting clarification that it is M08 that was updated and not the M09 as the title says?

I had the same thing happen then I went back and looked and the correct link for M09 is directly above the word attachments and if you click on that it will give you the updated download link for M09 I have just done this and it worked and mod hound gave me the all clear

Thank you! You have no idea how long I looked at that, downloaded it, looked at it, convinced I clicked something wrong, deleted the download, went back looked at it all again, and then repeated that process, then convinced myself I was clearly tired and would deal with it later >D

The attachment provided shows RPO M08. Clicking the package link does download M09 though.
