I can't decide if it's cruel or not that Lemuel had her locked up at home without telling her anything. It had its pluses and minuses, I suppose, but she absolutely knew that Duane was dead.

Lem's bestie is on the next page. Anyone want to call who it is?

Bastion, think it's going to be Bastion. Since he took Mikayla away to save her, Lem had to go collect her at some point

Capsandnumbers

Lem's bestie could be Diva, Miki, Will, or maybe Argenti Sr. I'll guess Will

Rifter

Are we talking about knife guy from the assassination group? That's Lem's bestie?

Simon

I think the so-far nameless-in-comic spellslicer. He seemed the only one to keep a cool head after Mikaila sliced Bastion up.

Fitzy

Always bet on Bett

Jag143

Wait, why are they setting fire to the ghers?

Cassie

If it's not Argenti then my Lemuel Adelier PhD should be revoked.

I mean it's not been a fairy frolic through rainbow smiles meadow lately or anything, but man, this page hurt. Poor Duane, poor Leysa.

Oof, this page is a hard one to take in. Are the slums of Durlyne mostly Bronze, or a mix of the riff-raff?

Wambling Wombat

Setting all on fire is such assholery .. I can't even. F*ck these guys.

Renee

Would have sucked major balls if they’d accidentally killed Mickey while setting all the poor people on fire

"I can't decide if it's cruel or not that Lemuel had her locked up at home without telling her anything. " -> I think it's cruel. But very much in character and expected for a society like Alderone's. He should have given her a few sentences at least. But that is not how Lemuel reacts when stressed, so that's it.

Wrestler X

Is Lemuel saying "I love you" out loud or is that his internal monologue?

Madison

Lemuel likes to set things on fire when he’s upset it seems. Slum buildings, a cart, people….

Nate (Snowy)

Ooh, interesting graffiti on that wall. If memory serves (And no promises it does), the Tannery, maybe.

gigi

personally I think it's a very cruel and selfish thing to do to someone, but I don't think Lem's known for his emotional intelligence so we'll give him a pass. I just hope Leysa knows the injustice of it all, even if she isn't in a position to do anything but what she's told :(

Mek

This scene looks familiar. If it's the same scene as before lady I is a cunt.

Brianna

There is something grimly funny about Lemuel, mid-freakout, deciding that LEYSA is at risk for getting all hysterical about this.
