I originally let Murkoph talk a lot more about Sette here. It was great for a delay tactic for Duane, but eeeh, let's save some stuff for later. Besides, he's been delayed enough. He wants to get out of whatever this is, and break some things.

Now that I think of it, is Duane actually in a hurry? I realise now I am not sure how exactly khert-time works. Does spending time memory-gazing actually put Sette into more danger?.. Or are those events disconnected timeline wise if Duane and Sette are separated?

I’m starting to think Murkoph isn’t human and never was. Maybe he’s wearing the face of a man who was once named Murkoph? But whatever is wearing that face, it’s something else. There’s just something about the way he talks here… and the way he’s historically liked collecting odd bits and baubles from other memories, like the dog fangs for teeth and the pants he stole elsewhere. But where’d those red eyes come from, I wonder? I think they might be original.
