Does this even need preventing, honestly? I mean if you can read lips of two people at the distance simultaneously and react on the go, honestly eff it, I'd just give it to Vlad with a "fair enough".

Well, I hadn't considered that, buut, now that you mention it, I guess it would effectively just be the same as if he died on his first real task. Probably less damaging to Ssaelism in the long run since he wouldn't be taking that job from somebody more likely to survive it.

They don't just have to see which is the attacker though, they have to catch the attack, which means figuring out what exactly the attack is to counter it on the fly. If he reads the lips of one and its the glamour, he wouldn't have time to react to the one he now knows is the attacker. His cunning plan... in ruins.

Man, thar be a lot of Vampire references in this page. Surprised those bandanas didn't have the teeth pattern on them. Come to think of it, seems an odd bit of convergent mythological evolution for the concept of vampires to show up at all. Compared to Lizards Made of Salt and Memory-Nomming Sneks and Black-Feathered Bewbies, Vampires seem positively pedestrian.

Sometimes it's a shame that you are creating a beautifully illustrated thoughtful tangled web of a story for a comic, instead of a gag-a-day relatable series, because you really have a talent for funny faces and comedic timing in comics. Well maybe not a shame, because we get to enjoy unsounded, but if you ever wanted to pivot it's right there!
