I like that last panel of Masek. Abasing himself in front of humans for the good of his very small, very humble family. He also takes the blame right along with his nephews for attacking Ricker's men. Such a good person!

Poor Masek. First betrayed by his small blue god, and now depending on his small-brained nephew for some reason...

I understand all Masek's doing is playing the cards that fate has dealt him, but this can just go badly so easily... 1. they might not be speaking the language (I'm not sure they are), so they won't understand your whole spiel, other than see you bowing. 2. someone like Lori might be around and _do_ understand your speech, and now you're even more fkked from that front too. But anyway. By the reaction of what's-his-name teen, there won't be a chance for a response anyway, and even worse – soldiers might think he was stalling them on purpose, when they get attacked by the Chief or whoever through that door.

Yeah, abasing himself so the soldiers can all be in the right place when his nephew opens the door and kills them all with an ages-old pymeric trap...definitely good for his very small, very humble family. Kill everyone and you can walk out the front door (dying for the next couple pages...)

not going to end well.
