I have a strong "young Duane" vibe from this. Lets kill our enemy gruesomely and then make a joyful pose with a charming smile. Oh, right! And Matty, poor Matty. I can't be sure 100% that he's dead. It feels like there could be so much more for him storywise. But the same thing makes his supposed death so much more hearthbreaking. And with all we know about alepakh his chances seems veeery low. Maybe when one kid turned up alive another one must die to keep the balance. Actually i think what could possibly be the source of his salvation are these mysterious burned feets we saw near the Quigley early. But it only because they intrigue me so much:) This chapter just filled up with such a powerful emotions and twists... and in fact with some artistic inspiration for me too. Passions intensifying for sure) Thank you Ashley!)

I’m inclined to believe Matty is well and truly dead because every time I get pregnant Ashley kills off a child character. Not that they don’t die otherwise, but every pregnancy some kid dies. Not sure if it’s some weird cosmic balancing act or if that’s just how frequently children die in this comic but 🤷🏻‍♀️
