Lady Ilganyag is a lot crueller to Bastion than she is to Duane. Familiarity breeds contempt.

There is a more explicit version of this page attached. Just some weenies that I ultimately decided to edit out.

Those disembodied hands might look familiar to the observant reader. I (and Ilganyag) wanted Bastion lulled by memories of a more comfortable encounter with someone Bastion loved (Rahm, even though he can't remember him anymore) before splashing him with the ice water of Master Delicieu. Like someone biting you in the middle of a blow job.

I feel so many normal things about this page

What are these freaky salt-lizard like eyes in the first panel? Does tittybird have some extras stashed somewhere in her feathers?

Maybe he'll call up that nice lady who he forgot to pay last time...I liked her! I'm not sure why, but I liked her a lot.

"Idiot child, gelded and yoked" Yeah, that castration business was bunk. Who's idea was that again?

The Clag

That's a lot of red flags

Can I just say that I love the artistic wordplay of: "From seed to stalk to bloom you rose..." Brilliant! Also, it is a wonder how Ilganyag was able to start a movement of followers at all considering how subtle she has to be, not to mention she plays her cards close to her... many chests lol.

Did Rham and Bastion really have an intimate relationship, or is that wishful thinking on Bastion's part?
