I do wonder though; say, if Bell jumped in RN and helped to fight back two-toes and Alds without doing the Sonorie coup thing, would he be able to segway into being a saviour and keeping his place as the Lord General through sheer positive public opinion (as he'd be a dashing hero jumping in to save the day as far as everyone not privy to the coup is concerned).
