Feel bad for Karl yet? I know there's been a lot of bloodlust since this scene started but I think you have to pity him here at least a little. He's not much more to Ruckmearkha than a convenient frog to dissect - and a convenient soft body upon which to unleash frustrations he can't take out on Queen Sonorie (yet). At least his whinging contains a few lore chunks.

In case you missed it, the Fanworks Contest is open for viewing and voting! There is some gorgeous stuff there as usual, please indulge! - https://www.casualvillain.com/Unsounded/Contests/2023/2023_entries.html

Knife!!! Terrifying psych horror knife!!! This is about to be so fucked up, I can't wait.

Ladile

Actually yeah, I do feel a little bad for Karl here. He's not a good person but I wouldn't wish vivisection on anyone!

CD

Handwobble. Vivisection has happened to far less deserving characters in this story, so there's sort of a sliding scale of sympathy... I don't think Karl anticipated getting into bed with conniving snakes to become increasingly less of a metaphor though. Sorry, hat.

Interesting lore drop about Lady Ilganyag, it kind of confirms what I was guessing from clues in earlier chapters. I am less excited about Ruck’s intentions for Karl. 😨

Colin Suess

Imma...Imma just gonna maybe skip a few pages here...I mean, you make your bed, but...I don't wanna see what Karl looks like when he's sleeping in it...

JarJar

I feel bad for Karl, but I felt worse for Pantoffel. At least Karl kinda had this coming.

Noxae

This is horrible but I can't help but be curious about how the knife works in real time... and what you can do with it.

The Clag

I didn't anticipate Chekhov's knife.

CelebrenIthil

Oh, he propped Karl on a hook! For a moment there I was was confused about Ruck's apparently new and uncommented upon powers of levitation! OP god powers indeed!
