I’ve been aware there was history between them ever since you did that little bonus drawing of them when Darkest still had his hair some years back. But I never thought it would come up in the comic itself, so I’m delighted to see it play out here. I’ve grown fond of Darkest and seeing him still get weak for Bastion pulls my favourite heartstrings. Nothing better than decades of unrequited, complicated feelings turned murderous.
