New month, new updates! Regardless of the special situation, S4MP development is actively up & running thus wanted to give you a small progress update, how things are going.

Development of the online version (0.5) is just about to cross the finish line, so if you are tired of the hassle with Hamachi and firewall settings, it’s coming to an end very soon! The new launcher is completely rewritten from scratch, please see some screenshots attached.

The good-old LAN version launcher will also receive a maintenance update (0.4.5) in order to support the new account system. Regarding to game features, it will have the same set of features as 0.5 but it will only work on LAN.

To sum up: use of launcher version 0.5 is encouraged, it’s online and easy to set up. If you really want to stick to local play, use the 0.4.5 version. Early access release of this update is about to happen in the next 1-2 weeks. Stay tuned!

I just want to say and I hope this comes off respectfully, that you guys have single-handedly made this hopeful mod the worst darn thing it could be. I understand wanting to make a living but making it the worst for persons not paying or who CAN'T/REFUSE (alot of people fall in the can't category) to pay for your online version, you are no better than EA trying to milk every dime from an individual for something that could be free or better for non-payers. I'm/We are not asking to be equals with the payers because then that wouldn't make sense but I have been trying to connect for the past month...watching every tutorial...reading every forums and looking at every dotted "I's" and crossed "T's" to make sure I enjoy this mod but nope...completely nothing. I'm not the only one disappointed, but I know this disappointment may go nowhere.

Hi, I've been considering doing a monthly membership but I had a question first. If my membership were to be canceled due to money issues, would I still be able to play the fully updated version or would I have to switch back over to the free version?

Hi there, you'll be able to play the latest downloaded version (while you were an active patron) but only in LAN mode.
