It was a very quick mention in the episode, but the random civilians couldn't see what was going on. They just saw normal-form Okarun giving Momo a piggy back, unclear how the speed was processed. The song used was the William Tell Overture (or, well, an arrangement). The sayonara bit at the end was more because that word's more of a goodbye forever / for a long time kind of word.
