Damn really? I'll go back and check myself but I could have sworn they got much more info than what the MCs have been working with. I thought that was the point, that Finch intentionally made it as little info as possible so the backdoor would never be learned about.

That is what he told John, but we also know Nathan is the one who programed the backdoor and not Finch so that may have just been another lie. Fun fact, if you call the number Harold gave Shaw you get the voicemail of his alias Harold Wren.

the reason for the only numbers thing is by that being the only thing the machine gives out the 4th amendment right to privacy isn't violated because socials security numbers are techinally public information, the machine scanning everything but not publishing it anywhere accessible by any method breaks the spirit of the law, but not the letter so it gets pass.
